We’re halfway through May – can you believe it?! Here in the Pacific Northwest we’ve entered into the heat of the hottest hinges of hell. Yes, another heatwave, but not as bad as the last couple of years (yet). I’m hoping we don’t have a repeat of those years, because we still don’t have central air.

Hope all you mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day! Mine was just another day of the week, unfortunately. We did, however, go out to dinner at our favorite local barbecue joint, so at least there was that. I’m behind again this week, so let’s jump right into the funnies, shall we?

This cracked me up:

Sad that Gordon Lightfoot passed last week (he was my hubby’s #1 favorite artist), but loved this:

  1. Heeheehee! You came up with a great crop of funnies, you always do.

I’m sorry your Mother’s Day was a bust, i hope they make it up to you.

  2. I have a friend who traveled to New Orleans with her elderly mother and was stuck in a hotel during Katrina. She and her mother were found by a CBS news crew and were interviewed on how they managed to survive. When the interview was over, the news crew packed up and got in their van and left. Twenty minute later, they returned and asked my friend if they wanted a ride out….

When I saw the Life Alert thing above, that’s what I thought of…
