Well hello Tuesday – you’re here already? I don’t know about you, but Daylight Saving Time always kicks me in the butt when we lose that hour. It does, however, enable some funny memes:

I’m one of those that would prefer Standard Time to be year ’round, while there are many others who appreciate it being light until 10pm or later that would prefer Daylight Saving Time to be year ’round. How about we compromise and meet in the middle and change the clocks 1/2 hour and keep that option year ’round?

So we didn’t get the snow we were told would be happening last week – instead we had cold temps, major wind, and lots and lots of rain. The hubby keeps saying he’s ready for spring and summer, then follows that by “Of course once the heat shows up, I’ll be ready for fall and cooler temps!” Yeah, pretty much.

I like fall and winter best, spring and summer are also welcome here in the Pacific Northwest – at least we have the full four seasons, unlike when we lived in Pennsylvania, and more often than not it seemed the weather would bypass spring and fall and just do a Winter to Summer and back again kind of deal.

The heat and humidity in PA were not my friend. Those days seem endless, so it was a relief to move back home to WA to only have to deal with heat and humidity once in a blue moon instead of endlessly. Of course I may have just jinxed us – we had that horrible heat dome summer before last, and an unprecedented heatwave last summer. Wonder if we’ll have a ‘normal’ summer this year, or if we’re going to have another abnormal one?

In other news… today is Pi Day! So naturally we need pie:

I really need to bake a pie – I can’t remember if I’ve ever celebrated Pi Day by making a pie… might have to do that just for fun! It’s also St. Patrick’s Day at the end of this week – since the hubby won’t be home Friday evening for dinner (it’s his every-other-Friday jam session night), I’m going to do our traditional corned beef and cabbage on Saturday instead.

That will work out perfectly, since I have a virtual board meeting to attend on Saturday, so my crockpot will be initiated that morning (and the delicious smell will probably drive me crazy while I’m stuck in the meeting). Busy week this week, isn’t it? Let’s jump into the funnies!

This totally cracked me up (or should I say ‘quacked me up?’ I know, I know):

  1. Hilarious funnies! I’m personally not a fan of daylight savings time. It’s going to stay light longer anyway. I think I would just rather we be consistent all year instead of gaining and losing an hour. Have a great week!

  2. Heeheehee! Yes, i’ve been wanting them to “split the difference” for several years now, but nobody listens to me.

Thanks for hosting, and for finding great funnies every week!
