Early PNW Snow; Birthday Week; Random Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Can you believe it’s December?! Every year I swear the time flies by faster and faster. So we here in the Pacific Northwest have decided, after an extended summer and very much shortened fall, that we’re ready for winter. As in, record breaking cold temps and snow. Typically this time of year it’s the rainy season – I guess we decided we needed a change, so snow it is!

I love snow, though, so I’m cool with that. I’m actually hoping we get a bonafide White Christmas this year. Might actually have snow for my birthday this weekend – I’m hoping it holds off until after all the shenanigans, as we have so much planned for once this year! My sister is visiting from Kansas so we can celebrate mine, and my brother and sister’s birthday (they’re twins, their birthday is December 12th – I know, 3 out of 4 kids just mere weeks before Christmas!)

So the plan is potentially getting us all together on Friday, the day of my birth for sibling celebrations, then Saturday we’ll be going out for my birthday dinner at one of my favorite restaurants that has the best prime rib – and birthday cake shake! And Sunday I talked the hubby into taking me to see the Nutcracker – he’s prepared to take a nice nap during the performance, but I suspect that since he’s a musical dude, he’ll end up actually enjoying himself. it’s been years since I’ve been to the Nutcracker, so I’m very excited about this!
