Final Tuesday of October – I’m writing this on Sunday because we’re expecting a big storm to roll through here later today, with a high wind warning through Tuesday morning. Fingers crossed we maintain power.

So this storm coming our way is being referred to as a ‘Cyclone Storm’, that’s been swirling about over the Pacific Ocean, and it’s, for us here on the west coast, similar to what people in the midwest or south/southeast endure with hurricanes. Luckily we’re fairly well inland (the ocean is about 90 minutes away) so the higher winds will be along the coastline, and of course will diminish on their way here.

That being said, however, the warning does say there could be gusts of wind between 50-70 mph, so it’s not messing around.

Edited to add: Well, the wind came in with a vengeance – we woke up Monday morning to no power, and it was out for a big chunk of the day, so that was fun. We’re OK, though, and we didn’t have any trees come down around our house, thankfully!

Let’s dive into the funnies – I LOVE this – this pitbull pulled out his teddy to show it to the dog of the other car:

  1. Those meat labels are great! The funnies are always the best.

Praying your area recovers from the storm quickly, we know how all of that goes.

  2. Love the satire on The Babylon Bee. I imagine some people don’t realize it’s satire and probably think, “These are some wacko writers!” LOL Loved that Mozart one, too!
