October has arrived! Well, at least I hope so – I’m getting this all ready to have scheduled to go live while I’m resisting the urge to spend too much screen time post-Lasik surgery. I am editing to add here that the surgery went great, my left eye is still sore, but that was expected considering they had to work on that eye more aggressively, since my vision used to be 3-times worse in my right eye compared to my left eye. I know, right?!

Everyone at the Lasik surgery place has been awesome – and I mean awesome. From the people at the front desk, to everyone in between and including the doctor. I’m not one to leave Google reviews for places, but this one will most definitely get a glowing review. Not only was everyone amazing for the appointments leading up to surgery, but when the surgery was complete they gave me a round of applause, and when I showed up the next morning for my next-day follow up, there were multiple people gathered at the front desk and cheered and applauded me as I walked in the door. Love them.

Then, Maxwell somehow absconded with one of my prescription eye drop bottles Saturday night (dude’s so tall now, nothing on the kitchen counters is safe if he deems it interesting). He poked a big toothy hole in the bottle (no worries, he didn’t ingest anything from that tiny little bottle) but I had the doctor’s cell number to text for emergencies – I figured this kinda warranted an emergency, right?

He was fast to respond and called in a prescription to the only pharmacy in our area open on Sunday, so I only missed one dose of the drops in the grand scheme of things. But seriously – the dude was responsive and available (and gracious when the hubby insisted I confirm that I shouldn’t use the bottle with teeth marks/holes in it – the response? No holy bottle. 😉 )

OK, back to our regularly scheduled program…

Since I’m trying to be smart and not cause a bunch of eye strain while my eyeballs are healing, I’m trying to keep my screen time to a minimum – with that in mind, let’s jump into the funnies, shall we?

OK, one more quick add – I’m sure you all noticed that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were down for a very very long time yesterday – of course everyone flocked to Twitter to commiserate, and this caught my eye and cracked me up:

  1. The lego! truth! Great funnies! Glad your Lasik was a success. Mine lasted for 10-12 years, but now I need reading glasses. They told me to expect that. So glad it’s working for you, but Maxwell needs to not punch holes in your drops! LOL

  2. Heeheehee! You find such fun stuff, thank you.

Hooray for Lasik! You make it sound so good i might look into it.

  3. Stacy,

I’m glad the Lasik is behind you. I’m sorry to read that your eye was sore. Is that normal? I only know one other person who’s had this procedure but she had it done many years ago and I don’t what her experience was like. I hope the eyes, especially the sorest one feels better soon. It used to be you had to worry about the kids getting into your meds but it turns out dogs want in on the action now. So, happy you were able to call the doctor to get a new script sent in to the pharmacy. Dog slobbers wouldn’t be a good thing for a recuperating eye or maybe anytime for that. I enjoyed your funnies. That 9 year old is going to grow up someday and get it a pulitzer prize. I hope no other kiddies heard about his experiment. Thanks for hosting the random fun, my dear!
