Here we are, on the eve of the first day of fall. I know some of you probably want to hang onto summer a little while longer (or, you know, forever) but this girl loves fall. Considering all of the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the textures – you could almost go into sensory overload.
Crisp air with sunny skies, changing colors of the leaves, what’s not to love? The spectacular colors do set it apart from every other season. Seeing those glowing reds and yellows and feeling the crisp air, make it impossible for me not to smile and start the day feeling fresh and invigorated.
And yes, I love the crunch of leaves on the ground and their smell as they crumble back to dirt. Who doesn’t? And the smell of leaves burning, or wood burning in an open fire pit on a cold night – perfection.
Last week in one of my client zoom meetings, we had to answer a question in our breakout rooms about what color we identify with for fall – I immediately thought ‘red’, since I’ve been leaning towards that color for several years now. Just for grins, I found a quiz specifically about fall colors, and lo and behold, the result for me was red:

Tomorrow IS the first day of autumn and like you, I’m ready for it. I love the colors and the shades of fall. I’m not sure that I can pin one color as a favorite. They all are in such perfect harmony together at various stages of the season. It’s such a glorious time. The factoid about Stonehedge was amusing, even laughable as the wife sent the husband out for dinner table chairs and he buys her probably in her eyes a pile of rocks instead. lol I just nodded my head over the dude who spent 13-days looking for his iPad in the backseat of his car. I’ve had similar things such as this just blend in to learn later it was right in front of me the whole time. Talk about feeling really stupid!
