Hello there! Remember when I was wishing and hoping for snow? Well, snow we definitely got! It started Wednesday night, just a little bit, but Little Dude ended up having a remote day for school ‘just in case’, since the bigger part of the storm was supposed to hit midday. It did start snowing heavier midday, but still didn’t seem to be accumulating as quickly as ‘they’ said it would.

But overnight Thursday night into Friday morning was much snowier, so he had another remote learning day that day, too. This was Maxwell Smart’s first encounter with snow – he absolutely loved it! Every time he and Reddington went outside, Max was bouncing all over the place, playing with the snow and in the snow – too cute!

Of course he kept eating snow, but that was perfectly fine by me:

It was snowing so hard, and the snow got too deep on our deck, I had to hang back further than usual to get pics of our snowy tiny town:

Isn’t that pretty? My wine barrel on our deck was getting quite buried (and this was before the second storm rolled through, adding even more to what was already there:

We have what I like to refer to as our ‘turn-around’ area in our front yard next to the driveway (that we use as extra parking when we have guests) – the hubby backed his car at an angle in that area before the snow hit – I thought was hilarious you can’t even tell what kind of car he has from this:

Another view we have from our deck, towards the south end of town:

I was a happy camper with all the snow, aside from the fact that I couldn’t do my semi-monthly grocery shopping (not going to lie, wasn’t upset about that, except we’ll be running out of things before I have a chance to go this weekend, but we’ll survive) and UPS was unable to make any deliveries (the hubby’s Valentine’s gift was scheduled to be delivered on Friday – was delayed until Monday, then again to today instead…oops!).

Garbage also wasn’t able to be picked up, but they said to go ahead and put two weeks worth out this Friday, at no extra charge, of course. Just need to figure out how to make sure the racoons and other critters don’t trash the trash.

The only other caveat was that we lost power during these storms – twice for hours. It got pretty cold in the house at one point, but luckily we have plenty of blankets to bundle up, so we didn’t have to worry.

Too bad our snow blower and generator were victims of our horrible movers when we moved from PA to WA – they were both brand new, the snow blower we’d used once, the generator we never did… but they messed them up during the move, along with they somehow lost the caps to the fuel tanks, so they ended up getting moisture in them, which rusted, and basically rendered them completely useless.

Ah yes, the movers from hell they were. Thankfully we won’t have any big cross-country moves in our future ever again (knock on wood).

Let’s move on to the funnys, shall we? With all the winter storms everywhere it seems, this was floating around (it’s funny and true):

And this one was floating around locally, since it’s pretty much spot on:

And this one:

This cracked me up:

This is fascinating – what do you see?

For me, I absolutely saw a man running into the woods first (with a backpack on) until I looked again, and saw the dog. Too cool!

This is hilarious – if you can’t run nor hide from the scene of the crime, pretend like you’re a victim. Not my photo, not my dog. I stole this off the internet!

This is hilarious (I think next year I’ll make some of these cards for the two-leggers in our house from our cats just for fun):

This is hilarious (and valid):

  1. Hooray for the snow, is it time for that to stop yet? We’ve got ice everywhere, and no electricity with temps in the teens. The swamps don’t know what to do with this weather.

Loved the funnies, especially Ruth Buzzi. She’s always been so funny, i am glad to know she’s still got it.

Hope you have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday!
