We made it to the final Tuesday of April! How are you all holding up? We’re still waiting to see what our Governor decides about the end of the Stay Home Stay Safe order – rumor has it it will be extended past May 4th, though yesterday he did decide that some recreational type activities can resume, so long as social distancing is able to be followed.

Apparently the fishing community must have gotten his attention, as they staged a protest on the water over the weekend. They have a point, though, fishing pretty much tends to be a perfect opportunity to be out in the fresh air while definitely practicing social distancing. At least that’s how it’s always been whenever I went fishing, especially when I fished with my dad – I learned at a very young age not to crowd anyone fishing with you (hello, those hooks are dangerous!) and keep very very quiet or you scare the fish away.

The other activity that is opening up come Monday, is golfing. I’m not a golfer myself – but I see how that can be done while social distancing. The rule will be that only two people that are not from the same household can golf together (maintaining 6-feet social distancing space), and up to four people from the same household can golf together. I bet it won’t apply to mini golf, though (the only kind of ‘golfing’ I’ve ever done), because those mini golf courses are small.

Public gatherings, events, team sports and camping are not included in the partial lifting of outdoor activities. They’re being smart on what to open when, and what the ‘new normal’ will ultimately be. We have been flattening the curve, though, so this staying at home and social distancing seems to be doing what it needs to do. I’m all for doing what it takes to make sure others stay safe and healthy.

Our state has a pact with Oregon and California where our governors have all agreed to a “shared vision” for modifying stay-at-home orders and controlling the coronavirus in the future. Yesterday Nevada and Colorado have joined our “Western States Pact”, too. I love that we all have each others backs in this crazy time.

Before I go on and on and on, let’s move on to the funnies, m’kay?

OK, a little more going on and on – before Princess Nagger was born, I used to create (and sell) One Of A Kind (OOAK) Barbies. I would remove all facial paint and start over painting new eyes and lips, and adding eyelashes with dolls hair (used to freak the hubby out when I’d be holding the head removed from the body, poking a needle in through the tiny neck opening and out through the face to add the eyelashes…heh!).

I’d hand-make the outfits that represented whatever she would be (like my Martini Fairy, one of my favorites – I made a special fairy outfit and wings, and she was secured in a giant martini glass with everlasting elegance – you know, the stuff that looks like clear water, but sets up hard and permanent.) Actually, it’s easier if I just show you:

I’ll let you know when I get going on those again – I have so many ideas swirling around in my head. I’ve made about 200 custom creations, all were sold to appreciative people. I did keep one of them for myself, though, naturally it was a wine vineyard fairy.

The reason I’m bringing this up, is because this is hilarious – whoever did this did a great job on Photoshop, but now I want to make a real one:

  1. Anubis in tennies has me worried! Heeheehee!

Wonderful funnies, and a fabulous demonstration of cat and dog differences.

    Have a great week!

  2. Stacy,

I’m running late today. I had my annual physical today and now back home trying to get some things done. Tennessee will official begin reopening on May 1st but I’m not of the limitations if any yet. Thanks for the laughs! Your funnies are excellent! The cat & dog gif is great. They sure are different, aren’t they? And, I love the creativity of that mom – go girl! Also, great job on the Barbie make-over novelties. How cool! Have a good day and be well, Sweetie!
