Final Tuesday of July! How is it possible that day-after-tomorrow is August? Luckily I already picked up the school supplies for the kids (good thing the lists were available early, since school supplies were in stores in time for the 4th of July – don’t get me started on that whole retail push scenario).

It’s been so hectic I haven’t even taken time to plan out any camping this year – we do have a campground my parents transferred to me that we need to get over to in order to make sure the trailers survived the winter weather. I’m sure they’re fine, and it’ll be nice having an actual big trailer to camp out in vs. tent camping, but I’ll still be bringing my outdoor kitchen setup, because there’s something about cooking in the great outdoors that makes everything taste better, no?

There’s a big trailer that has all the comforts of home, and a little one that’s not quite as comfy on the property about 4 hours from here near the mountains. We figure the kids can ‘rough it’ in the little trailer and the hubby and I can have some privacy and comfort in the big trailer – only fair, don’t you think?

Of course we do still want to get up to our favorite campsite in the mountains on the river – so that will be the full tent camping experience for sure. This will be the first year since we moved back to Washington that we didn’t reserve at that campground for our anniversary weekend. Oops! It’s this weekend, so I better think of something special to do. At least I already got the hubby a cool anniversary gift, so I’m golden there…heh!

Do any of you follow the whole ‘Mercury is in retrograde’ thing? One of my clients does, and I’m beginning to think there might be something to that. Either that, or there’s been a rash of weird stuff happening coincidentally Mercury’s retrograde or not. The whole ransomware scenario at the hubby’s work (still a problem), my site was malfunctioning for a day or two last week, and one of our clients’ site was down for almost 2 days, just when she needed it most (it was a hosting server issue).

So, if there’s really something to that whole Mercury business, we only have two more days (well, one if you don’t count today) to deal with it. Here’s to things getting back to ‘normal’!

Let’s dive into the funnies, shall we? This is for all my fellow procrastinators:

I thought this was groan-worthy:

Anyone else cook like this (I do):

I thought this was punny:

I thought this was an interesting take on an igloo made of igloos:

This is funny:

As is this:

This cracked me up:

I love this:

I am always going to see a tiny body every time I see the sign:

This cracked me up big time:

And I’m just going to leave this right here for you:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the , everyone is welcome.

  1. Whether Mercury has anything to do with anything, i think it’s time for you to go camping.

Those are some fabulous funnies, very humerous indeed, and thanks especially for the procrastination fact.

    Happy Anniversary!!!

  2. Butt. Fluffy Butt. That. Was. Hilarious! And grave humor! And KFC! Good ones! Hope you get to camp soon. NO to school supplies! Not yet! I’m not ready! LOL

  3. Mercury retrograde influence is just silly superstitious thinking. However, if it gets anyone to read/learn more about our solar system then great. Your humerus selection is fun. I like the grave humor and really hope those two signs are actually next to each other.
