First and foremost, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out and offered up your condolences about my dad’s passing, and especially thank you to everyone for being patient with me as I’ve navigated (not very well sometimes) the road to where we are now. I can’t ask for more caring, loyal readers of this little ol’ blog of mine.
As you know, the last few weeks have been especially rough, but things will get better. My dad’s memorial service was last Thursday, and the pastor that officiated did a fabulous job. The church provided space and food for a gathering after the service – there were lots of people that showed up in support of our family.
Of course being the second born/middle child combined (literally second born, but technically also middle child, since the youngest two are twins), as usual I was lost in the shadow of my siblings, feeling alone and lonely in a room full of people, so it was a rough day for me twofold. But, me being me, I’ll get over it – I always do.
Because we need some levity and laughter, let’s dive into the funnies, shall we? I stumbled across this over the weekend, and I no doubt almost spit coffee all over my computer:
OK, so when it’s my time to pass through those pearly gates, I won’t be in a coffin, because I want to be cremated (and have my ashes scattered in an as-yet-to-be-determined location), but I’m so very tempted to make sure there’s some sort of flower bouquet to have someone toss to the crowd – that would be hilarious!
Here’s some funny dog moments:
And of course we can’t leave the cats out of the fun:
This seriously cracked me up:
You know I’m going to be doing this next time I go shopping:
And I’m just going to leave this right here for you:
That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome.
