Here we are, the final Tuesday of February! And once again, the weeks are speeding by way too fast for my preference. I’m still constantly on the hunt for that ‘pause’ button – anyone have any leads on that? In two weeks we’ll be dealing with one hour less per day – I’m not a fan of this time of year, when they take away the hour they gave us in the fall. Especially since they shortened the time between the taking away and giving back. I really don’t like losing that hour every year.

I wish those that are they would decide to keep one or the other, instead of this whole time change scenario that was only supposed to be temporary way back when. Of course the whole Federal Income Tax stuff was supposed to be temporary way back during war times, but since the government liked getting money from us, it never went away. But that’s a whole ‘nother discussion for another day.

So last Friday we had an unexpected round of snow:

All that snow falling from the sky was supposed to be rain. In fact, I was so taken aback by it, I checked all my weather apps and the weather sites online, and every one of them said it was raining right then, and the maps showed rain not snow. Pretty wild! We ended up with 3-inches when it was all said and done, but the rain did move in over the next couple of days and the snow was completely gone.

We were supposed to get another last harrah of snow (prediction of 3-11 inches) Monday into Tuesday – but it never did quite end up that way. In fact, the sun made a minor appearance throughout the day, and when the clouds rolled overhead, we did see some snowflakes falling from the sky, but not even close to what was predicted. I’m OK with that – I’m getting to the point that I’m ready for spring and more sunny days. Especially since the dogs have made a mess of the mudroom floor (with mud, of course – thankfully in this house we finally do have a mudroom, it’s a sanity saver!).

This week is Dr. Seuss week, so the elementary school is doing a sort of ‘spirit week’ with something different every day – Monday was ‘Crazy Hair Day’, and since the hubby took the day off, I decided to head out to my semi-monthly grocery shopping early, and left him in charge of getting Little Dude up and ready for school. This was his accomodation for Crazy hair Day:

He did admit that he ended up buzzing the reverse mohawk a little shorter than intended, since he was in a hurry (as Little Dude didn’t mention Crazy Hair Day until literally 2-minutes before they were ready to walk out the door).

What’s funny is that Little Dude wants to keep his hair this way…ahem!! His after school program teacher told him she’ll pay him $5.00 if he keeps it that way until the end of the school year. I’m not quite sure that’s gonna happen, though I’m not going to discourage him from him that way – but by the same token, I’m not going to encourage it, either…I’ll keep you posted!

What’s super funny, though, is he said one of the teachers at school has hair that looks just like it, so they match…

Let’s jump into the funnies, shall we? This cracked me up:

This is also hilarious:

You do have to kind of wonder about this:

This is punny:

As is this:

This is not only funny, but true:

I have to admit, I am intrigued by the gravy hot tub:

I’m sure you’ve seen the meme floating around with the skeleton head denoting that everyone is the same. Someone decided to add to it:

This is what every mom of a teen dreams of:

This totally cracked me up:

This is also hilarious:

And I’m just going to leave this right here for you:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the , everyone is welcome.

My friend MessyMimi participates in Happy Tuesday each week, so I thought I’d join in the fun, too! Well, OK, maybe I’ll finally remember to join in – if you don’t see me over there, send me a message and nag me a reminder, OK?

  1. Those are pretty snow pictures you got. We’ve had some crazy cold weather with snow here too. I’m over it. Bring on Spring.
That sure is some crazy hair!

  2. Good morning! Thanks for the laughs, i hope the snow is over for you now, and don’t forget to refect on the fact that you gotta link up over with Sandee’s Happy Tuesday. See you soon!

  3. Stacy,

The snow is so pretty in your neck of the woods and I decided you can keep it. lol

Only a boy would like crazy hair day!

The humor is great this morning. You had a few that left me giggling. The silent M in masses, German wifi, and yoga pants. 😀

Thanks for hosting the random fun, my friend!

  4. The snow is beautiful, but I’m sure you’re sick of it! We’re sick of rain. Every. single. day. Big thunderstorm right now. Loved the wifi/wurst and the skeletons. I hadn’t seen that before! And the texts. I’m blessed that I have received one that says something like, “thinking of you and I love you” or something to that effect. Little Dude’s hair – typical daddy-do! Have a great week!
