Holy moly! We’ve already reached the final Tuesday of January! Though this month has seemed like a long one – or is it just me? So you’re probably wondering if my Christmas tree is still up. That would be a yes, it sure is! I know, I know – usually I take it down the first week of January, but I’ve been procrastinating something fierce. I don’t know why.

Probably because every time I think about needing to do it, I’m too busy doing something else. I’ll get to it. The angel is starting to lean from the top (one of the cats has been slowly removing the ormanments one at a time – if I wait long enough, maybe she’ll undecorate it all the way for me…heh!) I still tell Alexa to turn the Christmas tree on each morning, and turn it off each night.

I’ll miss the extra festive lights in the living room when I do take the tree down (they’re all white this year, maybe that’s why I’m subconsciously procrastinating, since it’s not the typical ‘Christmas colors’, hmmmm?), but I do have an alternative to losing the extra/festive lights – I have a string of white lights that I got specifically to put on the dinosaur skeleton, so I can change my Alexa command to ‘Alexa, turn the dinosaur on’ and ‘Alexa, turn the dinosaur off’. That’s going to be fun.

Meanwhile, I need to get out the Valentine’s decor I’ll be outfitting that dinosaur with – I’ll be sure to take pictures when I do, so you can enjoy the view, too. Do you guys plan anything special for Valentine’s Day? My hubby is 100% not a romantic fellow, I’m a huge romantic at heart, so I always plan stuff for him, but this year I might talk him into a date night on Valentine’s Day – a good friend of mine suggested we double date, so we’ll see if the hubster can be talked into actually doing something on Valentine’s Day. I’ll keep you posted!

Did you guys get to see the Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse last week? I got some great pictures of the progress, but still need to pull them from my camera. Meanwhile, an awesome photographer in Seattle posted this awesome artistic rendition of all the amazing shots they got that night:

They wrote this:

Here’s an artistic rendition of last night’s Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse. First eclipse pic was from 7:36pm and the last one from 9:59pm. I used Space Needle as the base to add some foreground interest, but as you know the eclipse happened much higher in the sky. Moon’s actual trajectory was also hard to map out in a horizontal frame, so I chose an arc instead.

I thought that was pretty cool!

So that I’m not late posting this for the first time since New Year, let’s jump into the fun funnies, shall we?

This cracked me up:

  1. Heeheehee! Those are some great wireless doorbells.

Wonderful funnies, and i hope you can get your husband to take you out on a double date for Valentines.

  2. Stacy,

You know, I thought I was procrastinating on taking our tree down but it occurred to me I’m not procrastinating at all. I’m deliberately leaving it up because it just doesn’t seem right to take it down until after the Super Bowl plays. Call it crazy but I think it has something to do with the early years when our kids were home and all that warm coziness of the memories associated with that time. I’ll take ours down next Monday for sure!

Your funnies are excellent. I loved the “ID ten T” funny the best! 😀

    Happy random!
