We’ve already arrived at Thanksgiving week! This year is going by way too fast, in my opinion. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, though, even though it’s a lot of work to cook up a giant feast. Since I do love to cook, I don’t mind the extra work. Plus my Champagne Turkey is to die for.

Which reminds me… I better remember to calibrate my oven, it was cooking hotter than the selected temp, so the other day I calibrated it but now it seems to be cooking cooler than the selected temp. I better make sure I fix that before I’m in the throes of cooking, right?

What’s your favorite dish at Thanksgiving? Mine is of course the turkey, specifically the way I make it (heh!), mashed potatoes, stuffing and sweet potatoes. I’ve never been a fan of green bean casserole, so I simply don’t make it.

I always make a pumpkin pie (or two), sometimes I’ll add an apple or apple cranberry pie, and sometimes I’ll do pumpkin creme brulee. I know, I like to get fancy schmancy sometimes, depending on time or motivation.

Now that I’ve made myself hungry, let’s move on to some funnies! I think I shared this last year, but it’s worth sharing again – what I wouldn’t give to be able to cordon off an area to keep it neat and tidy for company:

This cracked me up:

This is funny for obvious reasons, but I really cracked up with the description “professional drawer person”:

I could totally see one of our cats getting themselves in this predicament:

You know, if we had a claw machine in our house. Which Princess Nagger would love to no end.

This revised song will now go through my head when Charlee walks all over me in the morning:

Could you even imagine:

Now that’s some serious invisibility:

Some days this would come in handy:

This is so true on so many occasions:

Ummmm…yes, please:

This looks like so much fun:

This is so true:

This cracked me up:

As did this:

11 minutes, people:

I thought this was funny:

And finally, I’m going to leave this right here for you:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Being from the South, sort of anyway, Texas, we call it dressing, and it’s made from cornbread (or plain bread, but I prefer the cornbread kind even though I don’t like cornbread by itself)! That’s my fave Thanksgiving dish! Your funnies were hilarious!

  2. Heeheehee! Great laughs, especially the “dog” on the couch.

A champagne turkey sounds amazingly good, i hope you get your oven perfectly calibrated and all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
