Recovery is going well, the swelling is almost gone, so that means only a while longer sleeping in the recliner! Wonder if I’ll actually get sleep when I do get back up to my bed, between the meowing cat and the snoring hubby? Could be I’ll end up back in the recliner if that’s the case…heh!!

The hubby’s new schedule at the college he teaches is enabling him to have students Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday – so that means he’ll get to work from home every Wednesday. I probably should come up with a never-ending ‘To Do’ list for Wednesday’s to keep the hovering at a minimum so I can get stuff done…mwahahahaha!

But bonus that he’ll be off on Wednesday’s, that means he’ll be off on Halloween, and our tiny town has Trick-or-Treating for the kids from 3pm to 5pm in the 2-block downtown area. This year the hubby won’t have to miss out since he’ll be home. To that end, I ordered him a costume to wear. He’ll be Robin Hood and I’ll be Maid Marian. I thought it’d be fun to dress up as we walk the kids around town, no?

I haven’t had a chance to download the fall foliage pics from my camera yet, so I’ll be sure to get that done by next week. Meanwhile, let’s move on to the funnies, shall we?

Speaking of Halloween… this costume idea is genius! I might have to steal this one for next year:

For those that might not get it (in case they are like me and don’t use the app) it’s a Snapchat thing – the #filter is with the Snapchat filters, with the common one beautifying the subject including having a halo of butterflies around her head. The #nofilter version is self-explanatory, right? Hilarious!!

Which makes this one funny, too:

It took me a minute to figure this one out:

I was trying to figure out why the tuna was being shamed, then I figured out the cross wasn’t actually supposed to count as a letter. D’Oh!

One of my Facebook friends took these pictures of a lizard napping in her roses – they’re awesome:

This cracked me up:

As did this:

This is genius:

  1. Those roses are pretty, but lizards, like snakes, freak me out! Love the filter, no filter costume. That’s clever! Glad you’re continuing to improve and feel better. Have a great week!

  2. The lizard is cute, i can only imagine what it’s like to sleep in a soft, pretty smelling flower.

Great funnies, and i am glad you are continuing to recover.

  3. I am glad that you are healing well.
You might revert to the recliner. I find that I love sleeping on my couch. My husband hates that I don’t sleep in the bedroom. I don’t particularly like our bedroom.

I love your costumes idea for you and the hubs.

Thanks for explaining the filter, no filter thing. I only got it afterwards. At first I thought she was filtered and he just said whatever without filter 🙂

The Tunashamed” definitely got me too!!!

That photo with the lizard is one of those cool amazing things! simple and cool.

Thanks for the laughs too dear.
    Prayers for you.

  4. Glad that your recovery is getting better. I am still keeping positive thoughts your way. Love the laughs.

Hey I got the Hardly Strickly Bluegrass Festival on my blog today.

  5. Glad recovery is going well. We have been so distracted with the hurricane that Halloween is majorly back burner. Last night I think we decided that for the first time since my 11 year old was maybe 4, we are not dressing as a themed family. I think I may even stay home and hand out candy while my hubs takes them in the neighborhood with a friend. And you know what? It’ll be just fine.
