Is it just me, or are the weeks flying by faster than ever? I think that’s the downside to being so busy all the time – I really need to take some moments to just stop and inhale.

Let’s all take a moment and breathe, shall we?

OK, that’s enough time…heh! I have to admit, this time of year, with the time change, really annoys me. I do not like losing that hour, even though we get it back in the fall, but they extended the lost hour by a month or two (earlier start, later finish). I just wish those that are they would pick a time and stick with it year ’round. Maybe I should move to Arizona, they don’t do this whole silly time change thing.

Indeed.

So I’m actually happy that American Idol came back. Did you see? This time ABC grabbed it up instead of FOX – I’m glad, though, that Ryan Seacrest is back as the host, because it would not be the same without him. He’s been the main constant over the years in spite of the judge changes.

Princess Nagger used to watch it with me from a very early age, and at one point she was interested in trying out for American Idol, but she has severe anxiety so it won’t be happening. What a bummer, because she really does have a beautiful singing voice.  Of course the age range is quite extensive, so maybe before she ‘ages out’ I can convince her to do it…heh!

I saw this and had to share it on Facebook the other day, because it’s hilarious:

People were hilarious with their comments – one of my friends said that with three or more kids, she’s hiding in the closet!

Have you ever wondered what a butterfly egg looks like? Well wonder no more! Here’s what they look like magnified under a microscope:

Aren’t those cool? The coolness factor makes sense, though, since butterflies are cool.

I also thought this was super cool – a tiny field mouse asleep in an iris – the photographer had mad skills for sure:

Oh, and check this out – this is the coolest deer ever:

That is ‘Boo’ – Boo’s “Dalmatian chic” coloration is the result of leucism, a genetic condition that results in partial loss of the pigment melanin. The mutation is rare – leucistic creatures like Boo – sometimes also referred to as “pied” or “piebald” – are different to true albino animals, which lack melanin entirely throughout their bodies, leaving them stark white and with characteristic red or pink eyes. Leucism, on the other hand, doesn’t cause total pigment loss, and the animals’ unaffected eyes are a clue to the nature of their genetic condition.

The mutation also results in a wide variety of patterns. Leucistic nurse sharks, for example, tend to be heavily spotted. Deer, on the other hand, show much greater variation: some are mostly white, and many sport cow-print attire. I wish I could have one as a pet! You know how I am about deer.

OK, have you ever seen what a cow looks like when they’ve been bathed and blow dried? Me either! Until now:

Apparently it started in Iowa in 2013 when ranchers were ‘prettying up’ their cows to get a higher price. The pampering and primping of these cows can take 2 or more hours! That’s dedication – but boy are they cute!

Anyone else have this problem?

I know I do. When my focus gets interrupted, *poof!* all done!

This is actually really clever:

I might need to find a cookie cutter like that just to mess with people.

This is hilarious, and oh so true:

And finally, I’m going to leave this right here for you:

  1. Daylight savings time? Whose dumb idea was that? Actually, I might not mind living in Arizona too much. It really makes no sense to me since the spring and summer days are already longer. They just get extra long, like it’s normal to have light out at 9PM. Ummm. No. It’s not. If anything, we should go up an hour in the fall so it at least stays light out until 6. No one cares what I think, though! That cookie cutter is such a clever idea! Wonder where you can get something like that. Have a great week!

  2. OMG the one about the stripper mom? That’s hilarious! I could definitely see why the teacher was concerned. Daylight savings is really affecting me this year and this is the one that should be easier for me! I think my problem may be more than just the time change though. LOL.

  3. I believe that Daylight Savings Time was started in WWII to save energy for the war effort.

Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  4. That is so much awesomeness I don’t know where to start! I couldn’t stop laughing! I love the focus one, I feel like that. I’m having trouble with Daylight Savings Time this year too. It does seem like time is speeding up, I need to stop for a few more of those breaths once in a while. The student’s picture at the end was hilarious, it is amazing how kids see the world compared to us. Thanks for such great laughs, a perfect way to start the day. Have a wonderful week!
