Guys! It’s coming up on midnight Pacific Time! I’m just now getting back in front of my computer and had nothing prepared for the awesome Randomness of Tuesday! So for now, I’m going to leave you with what I’ve been up to for the past 6+ hours:

I decided to trade my Dodge Journey R/T on something a bit more fun to drive (and better gas mileage…waaaay better!) So this Nissan Juke Nismo RS is the perfect solution for me!

I was planning to get a red one, but then decided a manual transmission was more important in fun factor for me than color…plus this has awesome red accents, so it adds to its unique personality.

Ironically I’ve come full circle – my very first brand new car was a Nissan Sentra, followed by a Nissan Pulsar NX (that was my favorite car – it was the most fun to drive). All of which were manual transmissions, of course – I learned how to drive on a stick!

Then I got a dog, and had visions of future kids so switched to a Pontiac Grand Am with automatic transmission (more opportunity to deal with backseat distractions than having to focus on the whole shifting part, plus it was a 4-door instead of 2). The Grand Am was eventually replaced with a mom-van, what with the arrival of Princess Nagger and all – the hubby found a Dodge Grand Caravan on eBay and snapped it up – though I was secretly wanting to get a Hyundai instead, to not have the whole ‘mom-van’ scenario going on.

It served its purpose for a few years, then I finally had the opportunity to get the vehicle I wanted to get – a burgundy wine color Hyundai Santa Fe. That successfully took us on a few cross-country trips, and was eventually replaced with the Dodge Journey (which was also the hubby’s choice – there’s a pattern here, I tellya!).

And now, that last (and final Dodge) has been replaced with this cool and unique Nissan – and all is right in the world.

More pictures to come in the light of day!

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Stacy,

Congrats on the new vehicle! Our car is getting old but we’re hoping she’ll hold out a few more years. That’s a lot to ask of her but a Toyota hasn’t let us down yet. DD#2’s husband works for Carmax and they are fixing to move to Portland Maine. 🙁 Carmax has some nice looking vehicles. I’m always impressed with what I’ve seen that others have bought from them. Have a great day and thanks for hosting, my friend. Yikes, I’m running late and I need to hit the dance floor with you while I’m here.

  2. Hooray and congratulations! It’s such fun to get a new vehicle, i hope this one serves your needs for a long, long time to come.

  3. Congrats on the new wheels. I am hoping we can do a new vehicle for me come spring, something like a Tahoe or Yukon. We need to be able to haul a trailer and I want to be able for each boy to bring a friend if we head to the lake or someplace fun.

  4. Congratulations on your new car! It’s cute! I currently drive a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport (It doesn’t have a third row). I love it! I hope you enjoy driving your new toy.
