Fall Decor Starting, Funny Hacks and Funny Funnies: Random Tuesday Thoughts

Another week of go, go, go!! Seriously, I’m trying to remember the last time I didn’t have something going on Every. Single. Day. Oh yeah, I think that was BK – you know, Before Kids. Heh.

Since I’m pressed for time (when am I not these days?!) I thought another round of funnies would be a perfect way for the of the day. Oh, but first, I still have the sitting exactly in this spot:

Because I still need to get rid of a few boxes and rearrange the living room to accommodate him in his permanent location – I’ve already made mental plans of where, and how he’ll be incorporated into all the holiday decor. Stay tuned for that fun!

Oh, speaking of fun… I finally went to a local farm and got some corn stalks and a bale of straw to go along with the pumpkins I picked up late last week. The corn stalks are super tall:

I was going to get 2 bales, but I still haven’t figured out how I’ll be decorating this new house yet, since our old house in Pennsylvania had an awesome front porch, as did our previous house here in Washington. Our new house has no real porch, but I’m thinking I’ll be doing my mega decorating on the deck. Just have to brainstorm some and get it done!

At least now I have straw, corn stalks and pumpkins to get it going – and I made sure I moved all my favorite and scarecrows from PA, so I’m set.

Do you decorate for ? I don’t really – I do decorate for in general, so it takes care of both Halloween and Thanksgiving. After all, I do decorate to the max, so I want to enjoy it longer than a couple of weeks. I do have a 6-foot pose-able skeleton that I’m going to incorporate specifically for Halloween – the kids are happy about that…heh!  And of course the dinosaur skeleton – which will be incorporated in the interior fall decor.

Speaking of Halloween… This is :

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. About StacyUncorked

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Stacy was surprised when Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance - deciding to forgo the career and stay home was a no-brainer. As if her hands weren't full enough, 8 years later she and her husband added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension (of crazy) to their family and even more sleepless nights. When she’s not refereeing kids, dogs and cats, she loves to write, hence the reason she decided to start her little blog, and because she never got a baby book to mark milestones, this was the next best thing. She also enjoys doing reviews and giveaways for products she or her family would willingly use and can stand behind. She loves to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, she takes on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. Her favorite, of course, is making her award winning wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway.

  1. I love that dinosaur skeleton! Too cool! I put one Halloween sign on my front door and that’s it. I don’t usually get big into decorating for the holidays but I like to see what other people do with their homes.

  2. We have a front porch, but like so many Yats (people from NOLA) we have a bunch of stuff on it that needs to be picked up. We will buy some pumpkins from the local Methodist Church pumpkin patch, they do it as a fundraiser for the local battered women’s shelter. It’s a great way to combine decorating with donating.

Your dinosaur is cool, and i know using it in your decor is going to be the best, i can hardly wait to see it!

    Loved the funnies, too.
