Another week has flown by! Yada, yada, yada. Seinfeld fans will appreciate that. I’m way behind on visits, as usual (“No soup for you!”) – but there really is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it isn’t a train! Yay!

Princess Nagger finishes up her State Testing this week, she’ll be happy to have that over and done with for sure. Both kids are looking forward to the fact that they only have 6 more weeks of school before their summer break – six weeks, people!

OK, so you know how the Unicorn Frappuccino was available from Starbucks for a limited time (specifically April 19th through the 23rd)? Well, I couldn’t resist. I had to get one to try it out, and it was my ‘cheat day’, so I could rest easy on that side of things.

It was a little melted since Princess Nagger and I had to stand in line in our Safeway store to check out with groceries after we’d visited the in-store Starbucks for the special treat.

Naturally, Princess Nagger wanted a taste and loved it, so she claimed that one for herself, which of course spurred me to return inside the store and order another for me:

She was a tad bit jealous mine looked ‘better’ than hers, but hey, that’s the price you pay scarfing your mama’s frapp!

And yes, we both thought they were delicious, but then again, we’re those people who like the sweet-and-sour stuff. Apparently, Starbucks has come out with a Mermaid Frappuccino:

Honestly, it doesn’t look as cool or appetizing as the Unicorn Frapp, I’m thinking that green looks a bit…um…snotty. I know, right?

The purple and green Mermaid Frapp was created by Starbucks barista and blogger The Modern Barista, and it’s mostly made with vanilla bean, blended blackberries, and matcha powder.

Princess Nagger has already requested we go get some to try those, too. I’m not sure what exactly Matcha Powder is – but I guess we’re gonna find out! I’ll keep you posted!

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

The question or prompt for this week is:

“Finish the sentence.
If I had could go anywhere today….”

I had to giggle a little that Leslie’s OCD is probably on high alert when she re-reads that sentence… I could answer it both ways, though… but nah, not enough time to harass her! *snicker!* So we’ll do it the way I assume she meant it to be:

If I could go anywhere today…. Hmmmm…if time and cost were not an object, I’d totally, without hesitation, jet off to Italy. One of the things on my bucket list is to tour the vineyards in Italy and just hang out amongst all the brilliant winemakers there. I mean c’mon, who wouldn’t want to wake up to this every day on vacation:

Or stay in some awesome villa like so:

Well, OK, that’s more like a castle, but still. I’d stay there. You wouldn’t have to twist my arm! I would absolutely love to immerse myself in the winemaking culture, just to see how the professionals do it.

Of course, I could technically immerse myself in that culture amongst professionals here in Washington State, or Oregon, or even California – so that option will be added to my bucket list as well. But if you’re going to dream, dream big, right? I am, after all, a big dreamer.

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Those fraps look seriously delicious, and I’m not even a Starbucks kinda gal! But I was going to ask what Matcha powder is, so when you find out, I’m curious, too! I didn’t even notice the typo in the coffee chat prompt. I better go fix mine. Italy was also on my list! That castle! Woooowwww! Have a great week!

  2. Stacy,

Is it May already? Yes, it is! We can breathe easier now that the A2Z challenge is behind us. Phew! What a fun ride that was but I’m glad it is over for now. The unicorn frappuccino sounds interesting and looks cool. Speaking of unicorns, I sketched on in last month’s challenge. I usually do not get frappe when I get coffee on-the-go or lattes for that matter. I found making mine at home is not only less expensive but better but I haven’t tried to make a frappe at home. I’ve gotta try that! The mermaid (I drew one of these, too) frappe looks a little weird. The description sounds good, though. I can’t wait to hear what you think about it. BTW, what’s flavor is the unicorn frappe?

Your get-away-places for the day are totally fantastical and gorgeous! You were really daydreaming big with this one where I played it rather safe and predictable with my answer. lol Well, while I’m here let me do a little catching up with you, my friend, and I hope your dad is doing some better. TTFN!

  3. Good luck to the kids with the testing and the end of school. Yes, Italy would be a fabulous place to go, i wouldn’t turn down a trip there either!

  4. If I could go any where, a beach, a nice sunny one with lovely umbrella drinks would have to be involved. There also might have to be a visit to Disney World for the youngest member of the house, he’s never been and Disney is fun…
The Mermaid Frapp looks a bit scary. Not nearly as fun as the Unicorn one.

  5. Your fantasy trip to Italy sounds wonderful, and Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino’s really did look yummy, but I can’t say the same for the Mermaid ones, the green is a bit too… yucky! 😉

  6. Love the Frappe too looks yummy. I try to stay away from that though… McDonald’s has an awesome one too… mmmm yummy! Only thing is I heard mega calories, but I’m trying to lose weight because due to my health issue & not being able to exercise the way I want I’ve gained weight and it’s depressed me BIG time….. no HUGE time. I think I might be going through menopause or something because all I do it cry. What a bummer! So before I bum you out… where I would like to go if I can is somewhere ocean side… I want to see blue water. Guess you can say it’s on my bucket list. hehehe Have a great day! hugs

  7. *facepalm* I was SURE I did the edit to take that extra word out!! I think Blogger is just playing tricks on me. ugh. LOL
How did I miss out on this whole flavoured frapp thing??!! Did I nap too long?
We have vineyards in Ontario that I have toured – I actually used to work at one for a summer – and it’s a fabulous way to spend a holiday! I would love to go on another tour since they have added more and become world famous since my days there. Course, if you want some company in Italy, count me in…I don’t know anything about making, but my taste buds work just fine!! 🙂
