Tuesday has arrived once again! Last week was kind of a blur, every single day was rush rush rush – so much driving everywhere! This week is going to be so much better, I have nothing on the schedule I need to drive to! Woot! That means I might actually make some progress on finally getting caught up over here – I’m sure going to give it my best shot! I thank you very much for your patience!

A couple of updates – my dad is making progress, but it looks like he’ll be at the rehab/recovery place for a couple of months. The neurologist has indeed confirmed the onset of Alzheimer’s, and wants to thoroughly test him once he breaks free of that place. His shoulder is holding him back from full recovery – it’s looking like he’s going to need surgery to repair the break. So your continued prayers and good thoughts are appreciated.

The hubby made it through his major oral surgery with flying colors – apparently the one wisdom tooth they extracted (along with two other molars on the same side that were damaged from chomping on too many jaw breakers in his youth) were precariously close to his jaw bone, so they had to leave the tips of his roots in to thwart him breaking his jaw biting down on anything.

Which means the poor guy is on a liquid diet for 6 weeks – he’s already going crazy not being able to eat real food. Poor guy.

Now for some random lighter fare…

I bet many of us can relate to this:

And I’m going to leave this right here for you…

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

The question or prompt for this week is:

“I don’t know why, but Spring always makes me feel like I need a new outfit. What would you buy to welcome the new Season?”

Oooh! I’m down with new outfits! Maybe something like this:

Totally my style. As is this:

Isn’t that top adorable? I’d want it in several different colors. And this outfit is me, too:

And for those warm spring days (and the upcoming summer days) a pretty flowy maxi dress is something I love:

Or this:

What’s your style?

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. I love that floral dress. Very pretty.
I had to do a liquid diet for one day and thought I was gonna die, so I definitely have empathy.
    Prayers for your dad.

    1. Thank you, Terra! I think I’m going to have to get the floral dress for sure. 😉

I had to do a liquid diet between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year – it was murder!! The hubby is finding creative options, but SO looking forward to when the 6 weeks is up – he’s gonna inhale food like nobody’s business! 🙂

Thank you for the prayers – and thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  2. When he gets to the point on the liquid diet that he wonders if he can blender a cheeseburger, the answer is no. It doesn’t work.

Flowy dresses for summers when i’m home after work are such fun, they make me feel decadent and relaxed.

Praying for your father’s recovery, and for your husband (and you, since you have to live with him!).

    1. HA! I’ll pass along that advice about the cheeseburger, Mimi…heh! I’ve offered to pulverize regular food for him, but thankfully he’s declined because it really does not sound appetizing! 🙂

That’s a perfect description of flowy dresses – that’s how I feel when wearing them, too!

Thank you for your prayers! 🙂

  3. I loved this. Thank you! I need new clothes, but I really hate shopping. I know…weird, aren’t I?

I really enjoyed those funnies, especially the bats dancing. Oh, my…good one. I love bats, too. I know…weeird, right?

You are nailing the A-Z. Seriously! Hugs.

    1. Definitely not weird, Ann! I join you in the ranks of hating shopping! 🙂

Bats are cool! Though I’d never want to encounter them in real life… 😉

Thank you very much for the compliment!! And Hugs back to you! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Ellen – hopefully the surgery will be an easy one… Yeah, 6 weeks seems so terminal!! Poor guy – I’ve never heard of that…soft food diet, yes, but liquid for *that* long??! Crazy.

  4. I am dying at the Justin photo meme – omg… too funny.
And I love love love all the looks – I would wear absolutely every single one. Especially that hat. And those red shoes. NEED them.

    1. I had uncontrollable giggles at the Justin photo meme, too! 🙂

I figured you’d love all the looks – we’re twins separated at birth, after all! 😉 And YES to the hat and red shoes – I NEED them, too!! It’s not a matter of ‘want’, but NEED. 🙂
