Another week has flown by! Can somebody pass me the pause button? No? Fine then. This is another one of those weeks with something-scheduled-every-single-day which means driving all over kingdom come again, and being hit-and-miss on my computer.

Today Princess Nagger has Day One of her State Testing – since she’s doing Virtual Academy, we have to drive to an undisclosed location that’s about 40 minutes away – no doubt she’ll be done with her testing much earlier than the norm. She has three days of testing, the tests are scheduled to run from 9:30am to 2:30pm – as her Learning Coach I’m to check her in at 9am, then leave and check back around lunch to see if she can leave early.

So that means either I’ll shop in the area, and check back in a few hours, or cool my heels in the parking lot while I wait, since those that are they have established the waiting area is rather small, and no electronic devices are allowed in the building.

I’m going to have to get creative and make sure I have something to do, since it makes no sense to drive all the way home only to turn around maybe an hour later to go pick her up. If only she wasn’t a speed demon, I could go home, have the house to myself for several hours, and pick her up at the time the test is supposed to be done, 2:30. But no, she’s gotta be a wizard, so she’ll no doubt be done in a couple of hours…heh.

Today will be the good test run (see what I did there?) since her other 2 days of testing are next Monday and Tuesday – so that’ll give me time to plot and plan accordingly. Wish her luck for the testing! And me luck for the waiting…

Since I’m doing a hit-and-run on my computer, here’s some funnies for you to enjoy in my absence:

Oh yeah, us kids knew we were in serious trouble when this happened:

This one might take a minute to sink in:

But I bet you got it! And I so want to get some Toy Story toys and do this to my car:

And finally, this should come as no surprise:

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

The question or prompt for this week is:

“Describe your perfect Spring day.”

Fall is my favorite time of year, but I do love spring. I love the colors in the trees the first few weeks of green – it’s almost iridescent, and very comforting.

I love when the rain passes and the sun shines bright – everything shimmers like diamonds, and of course rainbows abound:

I love the crispness of the air – not too hot, and not too cold. It’s the perfect time of year to throw the windows open and let the house freshen up after a laborious winter.

I love the bright blue skies (when it’s not raining, of course – Washington State is famous for its rain…heh!) and being outside breathing in the clean air and watching the wildlife flit about.

One of my favorite spring days was discovering a bird nest out in my greenhouse (the winter had ravaged my greenhouse and relocated some of its panels – so the birds took refuge inside):

OK, so I pretty much am describing spring as a whole rather than ‘a perfect spring day’, but all spring days are perfect, right?

What’s your perfect spring day?

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. You brought a huge grin to my face this morning, thank you! A perfect spring day would be just as you talk about.

Praying your daughter does very well on her tests and that you find much to do in the area and keep your sanity while doing it. (Or, if you are like me, what is left of your sanity.)

  2. LOL – the nose one!! Perfect.
Good luck on the testing and waiting. I’d definitely either read or write. Shopping isn’t as much fun when you are broke. ha.
Ahhhh, the bird nests are so adorable! We left our garage door open to do spring cleaning inside and a bird built the nest in the automatic door opener and actually broke the thing. I don’t know what happened, but it appears to have shorted all the wiring. And it’s way to high for us to enjoy the benefit of having baby birds.
Amen to windows wide open though. Well, except with having a farm across the road, sometimes the air isn’t so fresh!! ha
