Wait…what happened? Another week sped by at the speed of light? Say it isn’t so! I really must learn the art of not blinking.

Tuesday shenanigans always include randomness to the max – anything rolling around in your brain that doesn’t quite fit in the mode of other daily blog activities can all rest easy on Tuesdays. You know, because it’s the best day of the week for random. Trust me on that.

So I haven’t been as gungho as I was the first couple of weeks in our new house with the unpacking – life has a tendency to get in the way, and I choose life! See what I did there? heh…

We’re going to continue on this week from last week’s funnies with more random funnies. That way I won’t inundate you with my wordiness, especially since I know you have places to be. I can’t promise the same for next week, though – just sayin’.

I’ve shown you the view from our deck where you can see a cool old Catholic church:

Is it wrong that I kinda wish the steeple looked like this?

ChickenChurch

Nah, I like the view of our current church – the stunned chicken might drive me crazy after a while.

If I knew any better, I’d think this really was my family’s Coat of Arms:

This is so true. Every. Time.

Last week on Instagram and Facebook I shared a pic of a mama deer with her youngster (she was cleaning its ears after they enjoyed breakfast of leaves):

I wonder if this will ever happen in the future:

And finally, I’m just going to leave this right here…

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

The question or prompt for this week is:

“Someone you miss?”

Oh yes, absolutely! My Best Friend that I mentioned last week – she lives in Nevada (she used to live in Washington and we hung out with each other all the time until the Navy relocated her all the way to Florida – that didn’t stop us from being BFF’s, though (duh!) and every time we do get to see each other, it’s like no time has passed at all).

Like the time we went to a hockey game way back in 1993:

MeAndPeg

Yeah yeah yeah – I had braces and she had high fashion 80’s glasses (what? They were still ‘in style’ in the early 90’s, I promise). But the moment captured in that photo? Feels like it was just yesterday.

I wish she still lived locally – but at least we’re not 3000 miles apart now like we were for years. At least we’re only a phone call or text away, though I’ve been remiss with the move to sit down and pick up the phone, so I’m gonna have to do that soon, because I miss her terribly.

I can’t wait until we make plans to visit each other soon! I know she’s going to love the new house and tiny town!

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Stacy, The weeks are zinging by faster than a bat of an eyelash and I can’t get everything done that I want. *sigh* Anywho, the funnies are fabulous! Laughing is great for the soul! WOW, who knew we were kin?! I come from the same coat of arms as you! I knew there was a good reason why I like you so much, we’re distant cousins!! 🙂 That’s wonderful you and your BFF have remained close through times and distance. My dearest friends from high school are still very good friends but we aren’t closely connected as we once were but I know if we ever got together it would be like we had never been apart, though. Thanks for keeping the randomness going week after week, my friend. Have a good day!

  2. My mother favorite line when we went somewhere and us kids would ask where we were going was “Crazy and you don’t have a choice, you’re coming with me!” The coat of arms would have been appropriate in those instances.
The Chicken would weird me out after a while too.

  3. Long time friends are as precious as gold, distance never changes closeness of the heart! I know when she is able to visit you will talk each other’s heads off and stay up until the wee hours of the morning laughing and remembering… enjoy!

  4. Oh my gosh that church.. did they not notice that when building?? LOL
And the cat sticker is 100% accurate, at least concerning the cat in this house.
I definitely miss my buddy back in my hometown. We only get together about once or twice per year now, but the truly amazing thing is it’s like no time at all has passed. We get straight up to trouble like we did over 20 years ago. haha.
