Last week the hubby was on Spring Break, this week Little Dude has early dismissal (as in noon) every day this week since it’s Parent/Teacher Conference week, then both kids are on their Spring Break next week. When’s my break, hmmmmm? I kid, I kid! Maybe…

Tuesday, though, is a good ‘me’ day, because it’s so random! And this week, you get more random funnies!

You’re welcome.

I can’t resist sharing this – especially since Rob Lowe posted it on his own Facebook wall:

This one is genius – and punny:

As is this one:

This one falls into the ‘ewwwww’ category:

This one’s spot on:

And I’m going to leave this one right here for you…

Before you go… If you haven’t yet, I’d appreciate your vote – we’re in the final week for the recipe contest – I’m really really hoping my “Kahlua Glazed Black Russian Boozy Cake” end up the winner, with your help! So if you could pretty please take a minute to go vote for my recipe, I’d be forever in your debt!

The finalists have been posted on this website page: http://nancyberland.com/recipes/

The deadline for voting for the winner is Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Tell all your friends and family to go to that page and vote! Please and thank you!

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

The question or prompt for this week is:

“What is your go to Confidence Booster?”

Hmmmmm…that’s actually a tough question, because I really don’t have a specific ‘go to’ confidence booster thingamajig. That being said, one of the ‘what’ that boosts my confidence is reading comments from all of you. Seriously. You guys always always make my day and boost my confidence.

I also turn to music as a confidence booster – these are my current top three (in no particular order).

First up, more than a decade after releasing her first album, this artist made her Hot 100 debut with this empowerment anthem. Notice it’s an ’empowerment anthem’, which is always a good confidence booster.

This song was the fruit of 12 years hard graft. She had grinded and worked so hard to the point of not thinking anything was going to happen, and she started to think she might have to figure something else out. She came up with this song because she had to make a decision – is she going to keep going or give up on herself. I’m glad she opted to keep going.

An awesome confidence booster, here’s Rachel Platten with “Fight Song”:

My next musical ‘go to’ confidence booster is the first single from this artist’s fourth full-length album, which was recorded in Los Angeles and New York. The record was inspired by her own life and addressed some of the demons she was battling. She was quoted as saying:

“I have never felt more open and more raw in my entire life. 2012 was a year of deconstruction for me personally. I have been confronting some of my greatest fears in the last handful of months and have been amazed at how empowered I can feel when I muster up the courage to turn and growl back at those monsters under the bed.”

Get ready for more confidence boosting from Sara Bareilles with “Brave”:

Last, but not least, this artist’s songs always play a part in confidence boosting. This particular one especially, based on its content. This song was actually recorded specifically for The Peanuts Movie, a 3D makeover of Charles M. Schulz’s much-loved characters released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Charlie Brown Christmas television special, so you know it’s a fun one.

I dare you to get up and dance to Meghan Trainor with “Better When I’m Dancin'”:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. This was a fun and spiritlifting read! I loved the cartoon humor, especially the egg separator (warped sense of humor… maybe 🙂 I think you’ve hit upon a good point about how songs can help muster our sense of self-confidence and well-being. Music is empowering. Great post, Stacy.

  2. Oh, wow…you rock. I loved those! The cat one is so appropriate. We have had many who become overstimulated, including Maggie P. But, Batman! Ha! The egg separator, mmm…not so much. But, different! The music was great, too. Thank you. I needed this today. HUGS.
