It’s been so crazy busy around here (so what else is new?!) that I haven’t had a chance to go through pictures taken recently to share, so I thought I’d share a perfect example of why I love having grown up in this area, and why it’s so nice to finally be ‘home’ again:

There’s no place like home.

How’s the scenery in your neck of the woods?

  1. That is gorgeous! I feel that way about Colorado only I didn’t grow up here!

My husband longs to move to Seattle and while I love visiting there, I need sun. The few times we have been there, its overcast and raining. LOL

  2. I bet it is nice to be back in Washington. The weather was so very different from where you were. Bet you missed that Pacific sea air. There is something more stirring about the Pacific compared to the Atlantic (sorry about that for you on the East coast). Well, maybe it’s just the Jersey shore that seemed disappointing.

It’s been literally years since I passed through Seattle. Never stopped there as we were always on our way to Lake Babine in BC.

  3. The scenery in my neck of the woods (rural Connecticut) is totally uninspiring. No mountains, no nothing. Just naked trees and flat, gray land. Those photos are gorgeous! The west is one area of the country I have yet to see, except for CO, which was amazing. Your post makes me want to move somewhere else. Like, now!
