Hello to February! January is done (much to some people’s delight, I’m sure – though in some areas winter tends to stick around until spring. You know what I mean.

Speaking of spring – today is Groundhog Day – the one drawback on scheduling this post to go live the night before is I have no idea if the groundhog saw his/her shadow this morning or not.

Either way though, isn’t that whole thing kind of like a Groundhog Conspiracy?  I mean, the actual first day of spring is March 20th, which is 6 weeks and 5 days after the groundhog does or does not see his/her shadow. So if a shadow is seen, technically we wouldn’t be getting 6 more weeks of winter.

Unless the groundhog is talented enough to somehow be able to manipulate planetary mechanics and change the earth’s revolution around the sun to make spring show up later or earlier than March 20th.  Something to ponder.

Speaking of pondering…

FunnyCat

That totally cracked me up.

Now for the really weird but cool files…

PaintedMixer

Pretty funny, no? Of course, if I were going to paint my KitchenAid, I’d go with something deer related, or even better, wine related.

WinoMIxer

I’d want something more in the ‘red’ family to match the red accents of my kitchen (my KitchenAid is red, so that would be an easy conversion then). I might have to see what I can come up with, eh?

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

This week’s prompt or question is:

“New Month – time to shed the old and make a fresh start. Let’s start with One Good Thing.”

I have to say, I was chuckling when I saw the direction Leslie went with this prompt. And then my idea of one good thing and what to shed for a fresh start went right out of my head.

I asked Princess Nagger for her input, but all she had for me was a shrug, a goofy face, and hands outspread in an “I don’t know” mode. Pfffft. As she’s gotten older, she’s gotten less entertaining.

I kid, I kid! Well, maybe.

She was definitely more entertaining as a toddler – but then I think they all are, since they don’t think twice about what they say. Now she speculates too much and worries that she’s going to sound like a dork.

I say let go and be a dork! She’ll get it.

Oh! That’s an idea for “shed and make a fresh start” – I should work on shedding my shyness and worry over what people think of me when I’m a dork (you know, like every day), and Just. Be. A. Dork.

So there. I’ll keep you posted on the dorky-ness all around.

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Love those mixers! I especially like the one with the grapes and such. I really need that cat sign! My husband lets the cat outside, and she is supposed to be an indoor kitty. She meows at the door, and he gives in.

  2. Those mixer are pretty awesome! My older cats likes to sneak outside as well. Being that we are experiencing a blizzard at the moment, he has taken to curling up on the sofa under the warm blanket.

I can’t picture you shy, really?

  3. Dorks unite!!! LOL
Honestly, people always get my age wrong, but I don’t think it’s because I LOOK young — I think it’s because they assume anyone of a mature age would not be such a relentless dork! ha.
And yeah, I guess I was in a bit of a mood this post. 🙂
Now, I gotta go look for paint designs for my Kitchen Aid.

  4. Be a dork! But more importantly – be YOU! 🙂 Somehow you don’t come across very shy, Stacy, which either way is totally o.k. And like the other ladies said, those painted Kitchen Aids are pretty awesome, I would just have to get a Kitchen Aid first – hahaha
