Getting Random on Cinco de Mayo with Rx Wine, Miranda Lambert, a funky baby flask, and Coffee.

It’s Tuesday, and I’m wholly unprepared for it to be Tuesday. We’ve been enjoying some incredibly awesome weather – sunny and upper 60’s to low 70’s and no humidity? I’ll take it, thankyouverymuch!

I know, anyone who doesn’t live in the Seattle area assumes that it rains here all  the time – we make sure when there are an exorbitant number of tourists visiting, we special order rain for them.

know, so they’ll decide not to stick around indefinitely.

It’s kind of like having a lumpy mattress on the bed in the guest room to make sure the guests don’t decide to move in permanently. Ahem.

Today happens to be Cinco de Mayo – anyone do anything special?

We usually don’t, though I am making ‘fiesta chicken’ for dinner. Princess Nagger doesn’t like Mexican food (I know, right?!) – in fact, she usually says 0;I don’t see how people eat that stuff!” when the rest of us dig in.

She’ll just have to fend for herself and fix her own dinner.

One of my Facebook friends posted this image over the weekend:

I about fell out of my chair laughing. Signage is everything, no?

If you’ve been reading me for a while,  know that Miranda Lambert is one of my favorite New Country artists – she’s even named as one of People Magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful for 2015, photographed without makeup. Here she is with makeup:

And here she is, beautiful as ever, without makeup:

She looks like a kid! Blake Shelton is a lucky man. Her outward beauty is only enhanced by the fact that she’s beautiful on the inside, too.

It’s once again for Rory Bore’s Tuesday Chat!

This week’s prompt or question is:

0;By now I will have seen Avengers Age of Ultron and be trying to refrain from gushing about all things Super Hero. To distract my fangirling ways; tell me about something think is Super!”

Nothing comes immediately to mind that I haven’t already talked about, and I’m not old enough to start repeating my stories. At least I don’t think so. So I’ve got nothin’.

Oh! I know! While it’s not technically ‘super’ it is kind of super in a crazy and creepy sort of way… Saw this online a few weeks back and had to save it for future reference:

Yep, your eyes are not deceiving you – this guy named Mike Warren created this baby doll drinking flask. It’s pretty crazy in a cool but creepy sort of way – and also pretty ingenious. He even has step by step instructions and a funky video here in case decide you need to make one, too.

There go, Leslie – was that a sufficient distraction from your fangirl ways?

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. Interesting, when I was in the states I don’t think I could have made to 5pm without realizing it was cinco de Mayo. Here in New Zealand it doesn’t exist.

  2. I was going to make enchiladas tonight but then remembered it’s fundraiser night at Chick-FIL-A. So of course we’re doing that! And that flask is awesome and terrible at the same time!

  3. We are doping left over Lasagna for dinner tonight. Last night we did May the Fourth be with you. I completely forgot about cinco de mayo. Since most mexican like foods are viewed with extreme suspicion by half the members of the family, we don’t do them often.

  4. Yesterday our weather here was red flag alert…I had never seen that before and was fearful until I finally got to the line that said not to burn things outside due to heat, dryness and wind. Happy May, I am back!

  5. oh my gosh!!! that is both so many levels of genius…. and yet, kinda not right at all.
    I’ll take 4. LOL

well, if the item doesn’t distract me, I am sure whatever I put in it will eventually! haha
Besides, I have a sore back right now and like the sign says: medication. LOL
I think I am having too much fun here. 🙂
