Camping Fun on a Pontoon with One More Drinkin’ Song for Summertime and RTT Rebel Coffee Chat.

The long weekend is coming to a close – at the time of this typing, we’re getting ready to head out to go this weekend. I’m being proactive and scheduling this post, because when we drag ourselves home from a weekend of tent and marshmallow roasting, I’m going to be too brain and body tired to functionally put two words together.

Let alone an entire post.

Though I’ll add a pic if we get home in time to do so before the publishing time.

Like now, and like this:

PNMarshmallowRoasting

We had a great time in spite of raining on our parade. Literally. More on that tomorrow, I promise.

Meanwhile, since we are/were off roughing it and I don’t have time to sufficiently throw cohesive randomness on the page, we’re going to fast forward to this week’s .

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Chat!

This week’s prompt or question is:

“I love music!! I have not shared any music around here lately…. and I found a great song for the ! Do you have a go to Song, or do you find a new one each Season?”

I didn’t used to have a ‘go to’ Summer Song, until the Princess Nagger and I heard this tune and fell in love (and always crank the volume and sing along). So now this one is the ‘go-to’ of our favorites.

LittleBigTown

Here’s Little Big Town with ”:

Also love this song that this artist wrote in response to a comment from a member of his publishing company, who criticized him for recording too many songs with party themes.

JerrodNiemann

Crank up the volume on with “One More Drinkin’ Song”:

Last, but certainly not least, there’s no better way to kick off the summer than with  this song.

KennyChesney

Here’s Kenny Chesney with “Summertime”:

There are so many that I love, but we’ll keep it to my top three, or you’ll be here all day. Wait a minute, maybe I want you to stick around all day! But I’m sure you have things to do, so we’ll stop now.

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the , everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. You are a braver woman than I. I hear some people like to rough it in the woods. I’ll stick to roasting marshmallows over my grill.

  2. We have not really seriously thought about going camping here. It’s been far to wet and cold. I admire you for going out despite what Mother Nature threw at you!
Gotta love a good country summer song!

  3. Bonfires = best way to end a day!! especially if you have been rained out.
our camping trips always have at least one day that downpours — if not the entire week. (true story)
but there’s nothing like a warm fire at the end of the day…and of course s’mores.

Pontoon!!! Yes!! one of my new summer favourites too. It just screams “summer fun!”
Ha – I love that he wrote another party song. he could have subtitled it “I do what I want!!” LOL

  4. A long weekend spent camping sounds like a lovely family outing. I can’t believe summer is almost here. Not that I’m complaining yet, but it just seems like yesterday I was wearing layers to keep warm and now I’m shedding the clothes to stay cool. lol Crazy, isn’t it? Have a good week!

  5. Camping…rain or otherwise…is a blast! Nothing like napping while warm rain falls on the roof of a tent. Or was it chilly? We just bought a 20×10 3 room tent…And hope to head out camping for July 4th weekend with 5 kids. Great choices in songs! I do like country!
