It’s already Tuesday (in most parts of the world when this post goes live), and I’m wholly unprepared for random conjecture.  Today I’m just going to fly by the seat of my pants and see what transpires. You might want to take cover.

So I trust those of you who are mothers or have mothers or are mothers of mothers had a nice Mother’s Day? The hubby is doing well with his years of training in regards to Mother’s Day – he came through not only with a live Calla Lily plant (my favorite flower!) but he also got a card, brought home lunch and ordered in dinner so I wouldn’t have to worry about feeding the minions, which enabled me to have a nice relaxing Mother’s Day.

He stopped on Mother’s Day (typical guy mode) to pick up the card and the calla lily plant – he also decided to get a bath mat thingy for our bathtub, since we’ve been taunting fate with every shower, since our tub happens to be slipperier than a seal on a slide.

What’s funny is he made sure the cashier rung the purchases up separate – card and flower on one receipt, the bath mat on the other, just because he wanted to make sure the lady ringing him up knew he wasn’t giving me a lame bath mat as a Mother’s Day gift. Then he posted it on Facebook:

Never a dull moment in our household.

He also surprised me with this:

Since we have to watch our pennies until our house in PA sells, it was a very pleasant surprise. I’m a very happy camper – I had to leave my bigger one in Pennsylvania and was lamenting the lack of having one, so now I can have 12 bottles of wine at the perfect temperature at a moment’s notice. Both red and white, since it’s a dual-zone, which is perfect.

Once I get my wine room figured out and set up, there will be more to come, but for now this is absolutely exactly what I needed in the interim. I need to get busy locating my boxes of wine in the garage to fill that sucker up!

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw that I participated for fun in LG Electronics request for ‘Mom Confessions’ to have a chance for your confession to be emblazoned on the screen in Times Square in New York on Mother’s Day. This was my confession:

On Mother’s Day, I received a tweet from LG letting me know my confession was being shown in Times Square (if you click on the pic, you can see it full size and make out my Twitter handle and profile pic just below the confession, too):

Pretty cool, no? My mug was on the Times Square jumbo-tron thingy on Mother’s Day!

Speaking of pretty cool…  This, my friends, is cooler than cool:

And now for something totally random… Princess Nagger asked me to post this pic:

Envy

And asked me to ask you: “Has anyone seen Envy?”

Like I said – never a dull moment around this household.

That’s a wrap for this week – I’ll work on getting more entertaining random for next week after this head cold stops holding my brain hostage.

You know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome – random or not. Be sure to visit your fellow randomizers so they don’t feel so lonely.

  1. That’s awesome that you made Time’s Square!
I hide ice cream. And eat it after they go to bed so I don’t have to share.
Very cool wine fridge. Looks like your hubby did slightly better than mine did. Procrastination fail, he didn’t find and necklaces so I got chocolates instead.
