Merry Christmas Eve Eve.  Time once again flew by faster than I expected, wanted or needed, but this really is my favorite time of year.  The lights, the sounds, the smells – it’s just heavenly, isn’t it?

The kids have been off their rockers with excitement, literally counting down the days.  I think having the privilege of experiencing Christmas through the eyes of a child is a wonderful thing – and helps keep the magic alive for the kid at heart.

Today happens to be the final Monday’s Music Moves Me for the Christmas theme – let’s have some fun, shall we?  We’re going to start off with an awesome duo, singing about one of my favorite reindeer.

SherylCrowBradPaisley

Sheryl Crow and Brad Paisley with “Run Run Rudolph”:

Next up is a gorgeous rendition performed at the CMA Country Music event just a few weeks ago, by two of my favorite artists:

MaryJBligeJenniferNettles

Give it up for the inimitable Mary J Blige and Jennifer Nettles with “Do You Hear What I Hear”:

Next up is one of my favorite American Idol non-winners (even though she’s a winner by her own right, just not through the show).

KelliePickler

Here’s the ever-bubbly Kellie Pickler with “Man With A Bag”:

Next we’re coming back to first a solo followed by a duo in one video starting with my favorite artist from a different duo (did you happen to follow all those twists and turns?).

JenniferNettles

Here’s Jennifer Nettles with “Christmas Time is Here”  for the first part of the video – the second half of the video Mary J Blige joins Jennifer Nettles again with “Walking In A Winter Wonderland”:

Last, but certainly not least, is a song I share every year, so it’s become a tradition.  Plus it’s a funny song by a favorite artist.

BradPaisley

Here’s my boy Brad Paisley with “Kung Pao Buckaroo Holiday”:

Enjoy your Monday!  Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or Happy-Merry Whatever!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

Photobucket

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohorts, Callie from JAmericanSpice, Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog, and Naila Moon at Just the Stuff Ya Know.  And since our own Cathy will be on hiatus for a few weeks, our friend Becca from Everyday Life is picking up the slack (thanks for picking up my slack too, Becca!)

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!
