Leaf Frolicking (minus the Frolicking part)

While waiting for the bus one day last week, I noticed a spot in the front yard that would be a perfect fall-ish spot to take pictures.  I was wishing I’d grabbed my camera, but luckily I did have the cell phone with me that at least takes halfway  decent pictures.

It didn’t take much to convince Little Dude to go stand in the leaves while I snapped some shots.  Though the instructions of just play and feel free to throw some leaves in the air didn’t quite connect:

LDFallLeavesMe:  0;Don’t just stand there – go ahead and play!  Feel free to run around and play with the leaves!”  Which was met with:

Little Dude’s bus arrived, so after depositing him up the steps of the bus it was Princess Nagger’s turn – when I mentioned tossing leaves around, her response was “Uh yeah, I don’t think so.”

Granted they were a slightly soggy from the rain overnight, so I could understand the resistance to picking up leaves and tossing them around.

Princess Nagger’s bus arrived at that moment, so that brought an end to our impromptu photo session.  Maybe next year I’ll convince them to play with the leaves or at least toss them in the air for fun – and I’ll bring my big camera along for the ride.

About StacyUncorked

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Stacy was surprised when Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance - deciding to forgo the career and stay home was a no-brainer. As if her hands weren't full enough, 8 years later she and her husband added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension (of crazy) to their family and even more sleepless nights. When she’s not refereeing kids, dogs and cats, she loves to write, hence the reason she decided to start her little blog, and because she never got a baby book to mark milestones, this was the next best thing. She also enjoys doing reviews and giveaways for products she or her family would willingly use and can stand behind. She loves to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, she takes on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. Her favorite, of course, is making her award winning wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway.

Do you think you will take them back to the same spot to try again?

  2. I wouldn’t want to play with yucky wet leaves either. Very picturesque bus stop! Love your little thought bubbles!

  4. I miss you. I need to start blog hopping again. I’ve been trying to work out a schedule for blogging and working out between house cleaning and I haven’t been able to enjoy the computer as much as I want to. I can’t believe how big the kiddos are getting! I love that I get to watch them grow up!
