Monday has arrived yet again – well, OK, by the time this post goes live, it’ll be a few hours out yet.  But it’s coming.  Or it’s here, depending on when you’re reading this.  There’s no stopping it.

But fear not!  Since it is Monday(ish), we’re going to make it all better thanks to our friend and former Spotlight Dancer Denise from RunDMT who has suggested spine tingling tunes / Halloween songs as our theme for this week.  So maybe there might be a little fear in there, we’ll see.

We’re going to start off with an old classic that’s always fun to dance to each Halloween season – only this video is a little different in that someone went all out with their Halloween decorations and did a whole light show to this particular song.  Four singing pumpkin faces, tombstones, hand carved and blow-mold pumpkins, strobes, floodlights and thousands of lights to entertain you with as you do the “Monster Mash”:

Next up is a fun song I shared last year – only the video I shared then was not very good because it was someone who’d snuck their phone in and taped it off the screen at the end.  This one is much better – nice and clear and ready to Zing you.

HotelTransylvania

You guessed it – the movie is Hotel Transylvania, and the song is “Zing”  – which is Hotel Transylvania’s form for “fall in love at first sight”:

Next up is an artist I introduced to you last week.  She is phenomenal, and this song is perfect for Halloween with the graveyard and zombies.  Plus, I like the artist and the song.

LindseySterling

Here’s Lindsey Stirling with “Moon Trance”:

Last, but not least is a music video that was played before showing of The Addams Family  movie for the first few weeks of its release.  It features the artist and several of his dancers performing in their unique style around the Addams mansion, as well as most of the cast of the film.

Here’s MC Hammer with “Addams Groove”:

That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohorts, Callie from JAmericanSpice, Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog, and Naila Moon at Just the Stuff Ya Know.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

A while back, I made my kids watch the Addams Family. Of course, they loved it. I would love to dress as Mortia or Wednesday Addam one Halloween.
