One of the things the kids look forward to every year is the elementary school’s Fall Festival, and this year Princess Nagger was happy to see her new school here on the West Coast does one as well.
Unfortunately Mother Nature decided to make it rain the days leading up to the festival as well as the day of, so it was moved inside the school which made it more discombobulated as games were separated down different halls and everything else was divided into different classrooms.
But in spite of the seemingly excessive crush of people and trying to figure out where all the games were, the kids had fun and I managed to snap a few shots of said fun. They were excited to see the ‘pumpkin patch’ set up where they could ‘pick’ a pumpkin to decorate:
Pumpkin picking is very serious business, yo!
Time to decorate:
They had a great area for picture taking – of course this is the closest Princess Nagger would sit next to her little brother – you know, boy germs and all. She wouldn’t even get close enough to give him ‘proper’ rabbit ears:
You know they’ll both be laughing about this years down the road like I am right now.
They spent the full two hours running around, playing pumpkin bowling and candy fishing and standing in line for the bounce house on maniacal repeat, and agreed that West Coast Fall Festivals are just as fun as East Coast ones.

Fall Festivals are the best – even if they do end up indoors! Love the long-distance bunny ears.
Great pic of your kids, even if they are so far apart! My kids are older so they don’t participate in stuff like that anymore but I sure do miss it. I always enjoyed watching them learn, create, and play when they attended events like that.

That looks like tons of fun. We are going to something similar tonite at our high school only the kids get to dress up!
Ha!! Love the brother/sister shot — it’s definitely a keeper. Looks like the festival was fun despite the rain.
This is a great way of decorating pumpkins! I always feel bad about how little Bob can do herself when we carve pumpkins. x
Oh how fun! and I love the stick on faces for the pumpkins! so cute! 🙂
Cute photos and looks like they had tons of fun!
We never did a fall festival in school, but we were able to come dressed up in a costume. Oh, there were the days of innocent Halloween fun!
That looks like so much fun! I wish my girls’ school would do something like that!!
