The race is on for Back to School!  Back to School shopping is a little more complicated for me this year, what with the big move across country and all.

I’m frantically trying to get everything purged and packed before the movers come Tuesday (yes, Tuesday!!) and make sure that anything we’ll need for school doesn’t get scooped up and loaded by the movers since they’ll be taking 90% of our household belongings straight to storage out West.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I’m honored to be a Kohl’s Ambassador for Back to School – the timing couldn’t have been better.

What with the craziness in getting ready for this ginormous move, I decided to expedite the Back to School shopping for clothes by going to Kohl’s online.  Princess Nagger perused the site with me to pick out her favorites to be stylin’ at her new school:

Aren’t those adorable?  I’m glad she’s still in the ‘cutesy’ mode even as a Tween.  She did pick out this cute hat:

Notice the ears?  That’s my girl.  My hubby keeps joking that I better enjoy my little ‘dress-up doll’, since she’ll not be that way forever.

I also picked out three new pairs of jeans, I love their ‘So Skinny’ brand, since she’s always been skinnier than average and we don’t need her looking like she’s going to be a plumber some day, if you catch my drift.

I’d already picked up some Back to School clothes for Little Dude, but since he’s in that ‘in between’ mode, I decided I should get a few more things for him to grow into.  We had fun picking out these:

I can’t wait until he gets big enough to wear those – he especially loves the fire truck one since he says he’d like to be a fireman when he grows up.   I also picked up some jeans for him, and was tickled when I saw they were having 50% off pajamas, and picked these out for him since he’s already outgrown the ones he got for Christmas:

I love shopping at Kohl’s – either in their store or online.  Their customer service is outstanding – I forgot to add a 20% discount code on my order, and noticed my error as soon as I had submitted the order – I called their 800 number and got the nicest customer service rep ever, who worked her wizardry and efficiently canceled and reentered my order for me while we chatted on the phone, making sure that extra 20% discount was accounted for. I didn’t have to do a thing!

Everything we picked out was on sale – if they hadn’t have been, my total would have been a whopping $382.00!  No way would our budget allow a cost like that for clothes that will be outgrown before they’re barely worn.  With the sales prices and the 20% discount, I only ended up spending $133.62!  Isn’t that great?  I saved a whopping $248.38!

See why I love shopping at Kohl’s?  They always have great sales, their clothes are high quality, and my kids can be stylin’ without breaking the bank!

I didn’t get a chance to have them model their new duds for me to take pictures – they’d probably want to wear them right away, and I want to keep them new and clean for their first week of school so you’ll just have to wait for their modeling pictures later.  Ahem.

Have you started your Back to School shopping yet? Definitely check out Kohl’s – they’re always having great sales on great items!
