July is fast coming to an end – only one more week? Sheesh – somebody find that ‘pause’ button, quick! With all the hectic activity going on around here, I kind of feel like this dinosaur:
Bet you’re wondering what kind of dinosaur that is, aren’t you? It’s actually a Spazosaurus – Princess Nagger thought it was hilarious.
A few weeks ago paleontologists reportedly unearthed a nearly intact skeleton of a Spazosaurus, an extraordinary discovery providing evidence indicating that the awkward, uncoordinated, and peculiar creature was the largest doofus to ever roam the earth.
Princess Nagger’s happy to know she’s not the only doofus roaming the earth.
Speaking of doofus… My virtual friend (as opposed to invisible friend) and amazing artist James C. Mulligan posted this on his Facebook wall the other day with this note: “Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s master plan FINALLY REVEALED!!” I thought it was hysterical:

Speaking of eye-rolling… It’s amazing how much stuff can accumulate over the years. Especially when you happen to have the pack-rat gene, and the mindset of “I better hang on to this, I might need it some day…” mode. Only ‘some-day’ never actually comes, and you end up with random piles of stuff that is tedious to sift through to make sure there’s really nothing absolutely important in the mix.
Since I’ve been pulling stuff out to purge before packing, my house is currently looking like a bad “Hoarder’s” episode right now – I truly hate having things in such an unruly state (read: disaster area) but it’s a necessary evil if I’m going to be ready for the movers.
I’m actually looking forward to the dumpster getting here so I can shift into high gear in purge mode – I’m going to adopt my hubby’s mindset on things that I haven’t used and/or looked at in more than six months needs to be gone.
Besides, I have more than enough winemaking equipment and wine that I need to move, so that’s obviously going to take priority. Ahem.
Speaking of priorities… I’ve got so much to do before our move next month, I need to take a break from my blog while I purge, pack and move across country. But no worries, I’ll still ‘see’ you for Wordless/Wordful Wednesday tomorrow, but after that I’ll need to step away from my computer and get busy packing and purging with a vengeance.
Stay tuned, though, because between now and September 9th I just might have to take a break from my break from my blog and throw a fun post of the random ‘fun’ we’ll be having as we prepare for our big move – I’m thinking launching things out the attic window at the dumpster might be worthy of a post.
