Muscle-head Link is king of his castle.  Well in this case, king of the Summer House.  Reigning supreme over his younger subjects, Ralph and Ginger (Ginger has been elusive to the paparazzi as of yet, but mark my words I’ll get pictures of him to share one day.  Yes, Ginger is a him – so named by Princess Nagger because of his color.)  But I digress.

Link (also known affectionately as Stinky Linky) is all muscle (which he utilizes quite effectively catching birds, mice and toads in the wild when the mood strikes him) and keeps the other two Summer House kitties in line:

Doesn’t he look stern and formidable?  So when I catch him sweetly catnapping in a chair with one of his royal subjects, it’s cause for celebration (or at the very minimum, photo proof):

Doesn’t that make you just want to go take a nap?

  1. I’ve never had a cat, but when I lived in Savannah, GA we had an outdoor one that was someone else’s cat. She used to kill roaches and leave them by our doorstep. Gross, but that’s what she did. I called her, “Xena the Warrior Cat”.

  2. I remember our cat, Charlie. He was cool, and very effective at catching all the rats and mice around the house. What a shame it was that one of the neighbors, from a 1/3 miles away, decided to set out some poison. He actually caught a rabbit that had been poisoned, and he was a goner. We never did get another cat after him. Charlie was the best at evading coyotes and owls. It was so cool to go up to him and pet him while he was munching down on a rat. He would stop, purr, and arch his back. It was like he was in seventh heaven: good food and a good petting all at one time.

When my dogs are sleeping soundly, I have to ruin it by jumping on them & snuggling them hard… they love it 🙂 yeah, right

  4. I would love to bring a kitty into our home but, I’m not sure how the dogs would like that. They aren’t friendly to anyone, let alone, a cat.

    Have a great Wednesday!

  5. Your kitties are so sweet! We have always had kitties growing up. Sadly in our current apartment we aren’t allowed to have pets and that makes me sad. Our fish tank just isn’t the same as having adorable snuggley kitties.
