Did you hear?  State Farm Neighborhood Assist program is in its second year of community betterment, seeking to improve communities through three types of initiatives: community development, education and safety.

StateFarmNeighborhoodAssist

Have you ever wanted to help your community with a problem but didn’t know where to start?  Maybe it’s a run-down park or to help the impoverished in your community.  Now you have the power to fix it.  Seriously!

State Farm Neighborhood Assist, a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative, lets communities determine where grant funding is awarded, exclusively through Facebook.  The Facebook application is short and simple, and all it will cost you is a few minutes of your time.

Our family is passionate about helping build our communities – we consider them an extension of who we are.  You can vote for your favorite State Farm Neighborhood Assist programs via the Facebook tab – please encourage your friends to do the same.  You are able to vote 10 times per day for any  combination of causes.

Note: you will be prompted to “allow” the app on your computer before being allowed to vote.  This is standard and similar to any other Facebook applications you may have downloaded.

Last year Paws Place won a $25,000 State Farm grant. With the grant money, Paws Place purchased a much needed new van to transport their dogs that needed to find new homes.  Check out this short video about them here:

You can vote on the program you want to support by clicking here to go straight to the Facebook App (it’s easy peasey!).  Remember, you can vote up to 10 times per day between now and Monday, April 22nd.  So what are you waiting for?  Go!   Vote!
