Dona Nobis Pacem 2012

November 4, 2012
Today, Bloggers from all across the globe
will blog for peace.

We will speak with one voice.

One subject

One day

I am privileged to be participating in the 9th launch of BlogBlast For Peace originally known as Dona Nobis Pacem in the blogosphere.

About Blogblast for Peace:

It’s inception began in 2006 with one single post and a cry for peace in our world.

A small group of bloggers answered that challenge and it began to spread across the internet in ways that humble me still. It reaches across political lines and religious creeds, abides in corners of unrest and places of hope, gives voice to individual beliefs and promotes tolerance for diversity. It celebrates the genius in each one of us, found in sparkling conversations of passionate pleas for change in the earth. It is that hope for change that motivates us.

It was the Internet’s first ever online movement of its kind to invite bloggers to post the same message on the same day. From blog to blog it has moved and continues to grow. It is a virtual inscription of hope. We have been amazed to see the power and passion shown each year displayed on pages across the world. We visit each other with our prayers and scribbles, prose and poetry, art and angst, heart and hilarity – and we are moved by it. From one post to thousands of others in fifty countries and almost every state in the United States, something rare and wonderful happens on BlogBlast For Peace day.

You can read more about it here.

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. Nobody tells me nuttin’! So, maybe I can just join you now saying Peace to you and all my fellow bloggers & that I stand with you & not behind or in front of you. Your Post has heartfelt meaning that I’m sure will touch everyone who reads it as it has me. Take my hand and we shall have Peace in our hearts together forever for us and for our children and our children’s children if we all believe. Virtually we shall overcome, my friend!

  2. I remember that first year, the first blogblast…compared to today it was a tentative thing. We weren’t sure how many would take it up, but folk are looking to talk and think and paint peace. There’s no lack of enthusiasm in the blogosphere or around the globe. And it’s so good to see you here again, Stacy! :-)
Nameste. Peace to you and yours!
