Owning a house that is almost 200 years old can sometimes be a challenge. We have to get creative when we’re doing any sort of DIY renovation – like when we added a powder room and bar to one end of the living room:
We even added a hot and cold water sink in one corner of the bar – using an actual bowl as the sink:
Too bad we hadn’t known about Floor & Decor – they have cool bowl sinks for very reasonable prices. They’re also a great source for low price flooring among other things. Perusing their site, I was amazed at how many different things they have – we certainly could have gotten some great deals on some of the things we used in our prior projects.
We’re currently in the planning stages of doing some changes in our kitchen – first order of business is to replace the ugly mustard yellow counter tops with either granite or tile. In either case, we’ve been thinking about doing some sort of tile back-splash around the back edges of the counter – Floor & Decor has the best selection in tiles I’ve seen yet – and even though there isn’t a physical store in my area, they do ship right to your door (something I definitely like).
Though I sure would love to explore one of the ginormous locations in person, so our next trip through Ohio might require we stop here:
In addition to the changes we’d like to do in the kitchen, I’ve been wanting to do something about the too-small bathtub in the second-floor bathroom. We have an amazing claw-foot tub in the 3rd floor bathroom, so it would be cool if we could have one a floor below as well. I don’t see that happening, but thanks to Floor & Decor, there are many porcelain, ceramic, stone, tile, wood, and laminate options to choose from.
Do you have DIY projcts you’ve done or are going to do?
