I’ve mentioned in the past that we are a cereal family. Whether for lunch or as a snack – or even as dinner sometimes – we all love to eat cereal. The hubby is a big cereal eater – in fact, the other night he had not one, but three bowls of cereal after dinner.  Apparently he has the Hollow Leg Syndrome.  Good thing most of the cereal I buy is fairly healthy.

Speaking of healthy, have you heard that Kellogg’s recently established their Goodness of a Simple Grain campaign?

They are encouraging families to start their day with a simple, wholesome breakfast.  As Moms, we try to feed our families food made from good-for-you ingredients. For more than 100 years, Kellogg’s® has provided families with cereals made from the goodness of grains and only a few simple ingredients. Finding a convenient and healthy cereal makes breakfast more manageable for parents and kids alike and ensures that families start the day off right.

For cereal eaters of all ages, Kellogg’s cereals continue to deliver great taste and a simple approach to breakfast.  Moreover, the simple ingredients in Kellogg’s Rice Krispies®, Rice Krispies® Gluten Free, Raisin Bran®, Corn Flakes® and All-Bran Original® provide your family with essential vitamins and minerals:

Who doesn’t like the snap, crackle, pop of Rice Krispies?  I love it with a sliced banana.  Though my favorite go-to cereal is Raisin Bran, the hubby will eat anything (obviously) so I always get what me and the kids like, since he’ll just go with the flow.

You know how breakfast is the most important meal of the day?  Well, I’m the worst offender in that category, since it’s always a rush to get the hubby out the door to work, followed by rousing Princess Nagger from her deep slumber and getting her fed and bundled off to school, followed by rousing Little Dude and feeding him a healthy breakfast – and before I know it, it’s lunch time.

Even if I’m not getting the proper nutrients by way of a decent breakfast in the morning, I want to make sure my family does, especially my kids.  I love that Kellogg’s cereals are made from wholesome and simple ingredients – many of them are not only fortified with vitamins and minerals, but they’re made with just four ingredients – ingredients that everyone is familiar with and can actually pronounce.

Kellogg’s uses what’s referred to as “Seed to Spoon” – the approach they use when making their cereals:

You can also check out some interesting videos as Kellogg’s highlights the “Seed to Spoon” approach when making their delicious cereals.

I’ve always been a fan of Kellogg’s cereals – they have something for everyone.  We even got to try a couple of new (to us) versions, with the Gluten-Free Rice Krispies and the All-Bran:

Still not a fan of the bran, but the rest are Princess Nagger and Little Dude approved.

What are your favorite Kellogg’s cereals?
