First Day of Fourth Grade

One week ago today was ’s .  Seems like just yesterday she was starting Kindergarten:

First Grade 2009

Second Grade 2010

Third Grade 2011

And now, she’s in :

Time is flying by way too fast. I didn’t have time to completely dry her hair before we had to go out and wait for the bus, but luckily her hair doesn’t look all wild and crazy like mine does when I let it air dry.  Lucky girl.

So far she’s been excited to go to school each day, because she was assigned a teacher that she exalts as the ‘nicest teacher in the whole school’.  Much better start than the last two years, so that’s a good thing.

Has school started in your area yet, or do the kids get lucky and start the day after Labor Day like it did when I was in school?

P.S. For those that were looking forward to reading about her Fox Ears fiasco I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’m posting that on Friday since it got a little too wordy even for Wordful Wednesday.

  1. School started this week – fortunately Son is in college, and he takes late afternoon classes. We had been planning on taking an out-of-town vacation, but had to cancel those plans when he got his schedule. Which was a good thing, since our plans were to go to Louisiana for the week!

    Happy WW!

  2. The kids are back on campus so my commute will be longer and finding a parking space will be difficult.

PN’s personality sure shines through in those photos. Especially the first one.

  3. You just have to do this every year. She keeps getting prettier and prettier. Her personality just beams from her smile and eyes. Thanks for sharing! Did you get my e-mail re your wine? mmmmmm

  4. Today is the first day of school and I want to celebrate with Princess Nagger kahlua. Unfortunately, I have too much work. My younger daughter has “the best teacher in the whole school” so she is excited about 4th grade too.

  5. Aww, what a beauty! My little monkey is starting first grade a week from today. Can’t believe she can be that big!

  9. Thanks for stopping by my blog. And THANK YOU for leaving my very first comment. I think my heart stopped for a second when I saw in. Is that strange?? I’m new to this. Love the recap pics of your daughter. Very cute!! Must remember that when I’ve got a few collected. Any way thanks again and I will link up again next week.
    Bye for now.

  10. It does go by sooo quickly, doesn’t it? Mine started back a week and a half ago and my oldest is in third now, it seems like he was just 4 and going to his very first ever day of school.
I hope her school year is going off to a great start!

  11. It goes so fast, doesn’t it. I’ve got a sixth grader and a third grader but I swear they were both born just last week…

Glad she’s got a good teacher this year, I hope her year continues in an equally terrific fashion :).

  12. Looks like she’s pretty excited to go to school. It seems like it was only yesterday when you still had her in your arms. Now, she’s growing up too fast already!
