Two Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed

in Aloha Friday

Whenever we travel and stay in motels along the way, one of the greatest pleasures Princess Nagger has is the option of jumping on the beds.  She especially likes the fact that there are two beds in the room – much more fun to jump from one to the other.  I took pictures, but you’ll have to wait since I didn’t have time to download the from the camera.

She’s been having a great time introducing the bed-to-bed jumping to Little Dude – now she has a cohort in crime to help increase the fun factor.  Since they’re not allowed to jump on the beds at home (not that they follow that rule), it’s nice to let them have their fun on beds that don’t belong to us.

Ahem.

At least it makes the long hours on the road less annoying for the kidlets, since they have some fun to look forward to.

Which brings me to this week’s question:

Do you let your kids jump on the bed (either at home or otherwise)? Fess up – are you tempted to join in on the fun?

Have a great weekend.

.

Happy Aloha Friday!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays let’s take it easy on posting, too. Ask a simple question…nothing that requires a lengthy response. It’s a great way to make new blogging friends!

The Young One has a scar running through his left eyebrow that is a testament to the fact that yes, he was allowed to jump on Mom’s bed as a wee little guy. The G Man jumps on the furniture whether he’s allowed to or not. LOL

Tara never really jumped on the bed, but one summer in FL (I seem to say that a lot, but we did live there for 6 yrs!) we had put two twin mattresses on the floor in a mostly unused living room for sleep overs and such. The kids had a great time jumping on those mattresses on the floor!

Err…ummm…yes. I admit that I started out banning it but realized it was futile. I like the idea of bed to bed jumping and shall incorporate it on our next trip!! My son loves playing with the “logs” that hotels sometimes have on their beds.

No way do I let Sprite jump on the beds, at home or otherwise. At home, the fans in the rooms are too close for comfort and outside the home, I don’t want to explain it should something break. (And it usually does…)
Nope, I am not a fun mom. :-)

Oh goodness, I haven’t jumped on the bed in YEARS! Although, I am not too much of a kid at heart to start it up again ^.^

When I’m feeling better of course and I’m not in so much pain! LOL

Hope you guys are/were having fun!

I don’t let them jump on the bed. I’m so afraid they’ll fall off and break their leg.

This is a tough one. I love the idea of jumping on beds, but I am so afraid they will either break the bed or themselves!

They do it, but I try not to allow it… occasionally in hotel rooms, I’ll not only let them get away with it but join in, too. ;) Hope your trip is going well!

We’ve been known to jump on a bed or 2, YOLO! when you mention Princess Nagger and Little Man jumping from bed to bed, I can’t help but think of the scene in Rat Race when the 2 kids collide while doing that. Cracks me up! I hope yours are staying safe though. :D

My little brother jumped on the bed when he was younger and ended up getting stitches as a result of a nasty fall! I suppose he was just the unlucky one because my sister and I did it for years without getting so much as a scratch!

I never let them jump on the bed but they do anyway! Lol. We have a double bed and a night stand beside it, what they do is climb up on the night stand and jump towards the bed! They enjoy it but I cringe every time! I don’t want them to get hurt.
