Milk is a regular staple in our household.  We’re lucky that none of us are lactose intolerant, I always feel sorry for those that are when they can’t enjoy dairy products like we enjoy our milk.  My brother was a milkaholic – he used to drink a gallon of milk a day.  Crazy, right?  He did find he had to cut back as he got older, apparently he was starting to become intolerant from his overindulgence.

I make sure the kids have at least one glass of milk a day, it’s the perfect accompaniment to their eggs and toast or mini pancakes.  It’s a no-brainer when they have it with cereal.  Sometimes Princess Nagger prefers to eat her milk ‘dry’, with a cold glass of milk on the side.

When they were younger I was always buying two different kinds of milk – whole milk for them, 2% milk for the hubby and I.  Unfortunately trying to get any of us to drink 1% or fat-free milk wasn’t happening – we all pretty much looked at it as ‘watered-down’ milk.

Until we found Over the Moon Milk, that is.

It has 34% more calcium and 37% more protein plus Vitamin D in the low-fat and 1% versions; 45% more calcium and 37% more protein plus Vitamin D in the Chocolate version (with no high fructose corn syrup – which makes me happy, and the kids extra happy, since they love chocolate milk).  No artificial hormones either, so I’m definitely sold.  Plus it doesn’t taste like watered-down milk.  At all.  Which means the kids and hubby happily drink it up without protest.

Did you know…

  • Milk is an excellent post exercise beverage
  • Milk helps in acidity and gastric ulcers, especially cold milk.
  • Milk with pepper and turmeric helps to fight cough, asthma and allergy
  • Milk with honey boost the immune system, to fight against infection

You’ve all heard the phrase “Drink milk, it does the body good”.  With Over the Moon Milk, it should be “Drink Over the Moon Milk, it does the body better”.  Do you drink milk regularly?

  1. My kiddo is a milk addict. It costs us a fortune to keep up.

We always drink 2%, but if 1% or fat free tasted the same, I’d be a happy camper. I’m not out to clog her arteries, after all.
