Last month I mentioned I was trying out Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty system, and I’m sure you’re all waiting to see what I thought.  Sure, let’s go with that.  For not actually having any sort of ‘regular’ facial routine, I found that incorporating the system in my daily routine to be quick and easy.  Taking that five minutes to pamper yourself is a good thing.

I really like the Skin Softening Cleanser. My skin isn’t oily and I never wear base makeup, but what I liked about the Skin Softening Cleanser is it didn’t dry out my skin like so many others do (a reason I rarely ever used a cleanser in the past).  My all-time favorite of all the products is the Lifting Eye Cream.  I love that it’s non-greasy, and I definitely noticed that my smile lines have lessened after using it for a month.

Since I have Hazel eyes, they’re extra light-sensitive, so anytime I’m out in bright light I tend to squint – which was starting to show around the outside corners of my eyes.  the Lifting Eye Cream helped diminish those crinkles which makes me happy.  I’d show you a picture but it wouldn’t do the creme justice since I’m battling a month-long sinus infection I’ve got the Ashley Judd Puffy Face Syndrome going on.

Oh, and I have a confession to make – you know how smile lines will start to show up around your lips?  I’ve been using the Lifting Eye Cream around the outside edges of my lips, too.  It’s working.  So that means I can keep on smiling to my heart’s content – and since I smile all the time, that’s a good thing.  People are always asking me what I’m smiling about – I tell them it’s to keep people wondering what I’m up to.

Bottom line is I’m really enjoying the Meaningful Beauty system – while there is no guaranteed miracle regime or system, I like how easy this is to use, and that little by little I’m seeing some good results.  Since it’s reasonably priced and easy to use, I’ll continue to use it (that in itself says a lot about it, since I’m not normally a ‘facial routine’ kind of person) and hopefully it will help thwart any future aging issues as I get older (fingers crossed).

Do you have a specific pampering routine facial or otherwise?

  1. Hi Stacy, I don’t really have a pampering routine, although I do apply a moisturiser in the morning. I find myself getting more and more interested in facial creams now I’m getting older and those smile lines are getting deeper 🙂 I never heard of Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty system before, I’ll have to check it out.

  2. I have been wondering about this system as I am looking for a new one. Currently, everything’s either making me break out or leaving me dry. I shall check it out. 🙂

  3. Hi Stacy,

No real routine, just wash with St. Ives, use an astringent/toner (right now it’s Sea Breeze. It was on sale) and a moisturizer. I like the Olay total effects with hint of color. Really does a nice job evening out my complexion but my only complaint is that there is no sunscreen in it. Nighttime is wash and use a night time hydrating fluid. The one I have right now is a generic one.

Hm, guess I do have a routine afterall. Just woulnd’t call it ‘pampering’.
