Mother Nature has been giving us May weather in March – I’m not complaining, I’m quite enjoying the 70-80 degree weather and seeing the return of birds and things starting to bud.  As long as Mother Nature is kind and doesn’t unleash the excessive heat for summertime, it’s all good.

It’s Monday, and you can tell Spring Fever is in the air with the school year winding down (hard to believe Princess Nagger only has less than 2-1/2 months left of the school year).  Since it is Monday, let’s make it less mundane by rocking out to to some fun tunes.

This week’s theme is a freebie week, so you get to see what’s rocking my world in music for the week.  I know, it’s something you live for.  We’ll start things off with a great song by Train “Hey, Soul Sister”:

Next up is another of my favorite bands, here’s Nickelback with “When We Stand Together”:

I know I already shared this new song by Carrie Underwood last week, but thought I’d let you enjoy the premiere of the video for that song.  Here’s the official video of “Good Girl”:

And last, but certainly not least, a rockin’ fun song by Hot Chelle Rae, “I Like It Like That”:

I definitely like it like that. Enjoy your Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

  1. When I was young I always love the song “hey soul sister” and I remember my childhood while I was listening to the song again. I can’t relate on the other songs you have share in your blog Stacy especially the song entitled when we stand together. However, thanks for sharing the videos of the songs.

  2. I am enjoying the weather. This is my perfect temperature. Not too hot, not too cold. I also love not using the heat or air conditioner.

  3. We had such a storm over the weekend! Our electricity was out on Saturday for almost five hours due to high winds (The Los Angeles area got the storm, we got the wind as usual). So we decided to have our St. Patrick’s meal on Sunday. Sunday dawned beautiful, but by noon the clouds were starting to gather again. By 1:30 the winds had gone crazy again, and we were again without power. The electric company got it going in only three hours this time, and we had our corned beef. It was delicious!

  5. Running a day late. Argh! I’m here at last. It’s a good thing I was actually able to board the Love Train to dance with you. Like always, I love your picks. Train’s, “Hey Soul Sister” always makes me wanna dance. I love that song! Nickleback has a really interesting sound. I’m definitely going to look at more of their songs. Hot Chelle Rae’s song is really catchy and upbeat. I was dancing in my chair. Gotta check them out, too. Youtube wouldn’t let me play Carrie’s new song, so…I’m gonna have to go over there to listen to it. Pooh, on YouTube, right? No worries, I’ll check it out later. Thanks for visiting!
