The Toothbrush Tree

When we were at the dentist yesterday, we noticed an unusual addition out front:

Yes, that’s what it looks like.  A toothbrush tree (and a tooth):

It used to be a big shade tree for the metered parking on the city street, but recent storms damaged it.  So they had it turned into a work of art.  Princess Nagger commented that it looks like the tooth has a cavity.

Pretty cool, don’t you think?

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. haha Toothbrush Tree, huh! Your child is one in a million I’d say! She comes up with the cutest things to say sometimes. Guess that’s because she is a little cutie. Have a Happy WW.

  2. Wow now that’s creativity but placed out in front of the perfect store You’ll never drive by your dentist again lol

  3. What a great way to re-use a damaged tree! And, I think it is wonderful that the Princess recognizes the cavity! And, my goodness, that Angry Bird is about as big as she is!

    Happy WW!

  4. Oh wow! That is so cool! What a way to work with nature. I didn’t realize until I read the post that they carved the existing tree that was standing there. That IS pretty cool!

  5. That is so cool! I love that sculpture. I’ve heard of them doing that with “Katrina trees” in New Orleans, but I’ve never seen it near me. Very creative!

  6. That’s cool that they found a use for the damaged tree instead of cutting it down. The dentist office better not close or move!

  7. It is creative, however, the cynic in my reacted with the thought “just what the world needs, a dentist with a sense of humor”

  8. Ya, cool tooth and toothbrush, but what really caught our eye was the gian Angry Bird that PN is holding. J-Man was really impressed with that.

  9. Great pics! Love the angry bird bag. There were a lot of trees in Biloxi, MS that were carved using chain saws after Hurricane Katrina. They are amazing!

  10. That is pretty cool. Great way to make the best of a difficult situation too.

  11. That’s awesome! I’m a woodcarver, so there’s nothing I hate more than to see a tree just cut down and wasted. I’m glad they had the foresight to create some pretty advertising!

  12. ha ha ha ha, thanks that the damage just made a cavity, if it is big then the doctor needs to pull out the tooth, then the tooth brush would pass very lonely time, but why did they are not creating a tooth pest also, then it might seen more interesting. I though Colgate will be great one for that.lol

  13. I need this brush to give to my Grand Mum, she will must love this gift because she dont have any teeth, but she still buy tooth brush and tell that its my hobby.lol…ha ha ha ha i cant think that a person who dont have a single teeth but her hobby is to collect tooth brush. 😛
