Since true fall weather has finally been granted us, the leaves are changing and falling at a consistent rate. Over the weekend we were blessed with the perfect weather to go out and take care of some of those leaves… and play:
Rather than do the typical ginormous pile to jump in, Princess Nagger came up with the idea of creating a ‘nest’ complete with separate rooms: kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom – she’s laying down in her ‘bedroom’.
She helped Little Dude create one too, as her next door neighbor. Much fun was had, even Travis got involved in the fun (though he was mostly interested in the possibility of a dropped snack):
What better place than their nest homes to have a snack of Pringles:
They welcome all visitors, and will even share their snacks. Care to join them?

Too cute and funny!! That is so something I could see my daughter come up with!! Our daughter’s are two peas in a pod!!
Aloha! Mrs. Marine
& the Tiny Troops
Ha Ha- I love how imaginative Princess is all the time!!! She’s such a creative gal 🙂
Playing in the leaves is always fun, no matter how young or old you are.
You know I know she’s called PN while she’s awake, but I bet you call her Precious Princess while she’s asleep. She is very precious & I see you NEVER have a dull moment with her around! Too cute.
How creative. They have made themselves the ultimate playhouse!
What fun! my boys do this in the front yard too with snow when it gets deep enough.
Yay for leaves!!!
I would *love* to join them, although The Young One would probably run for the hills – you have no idea how many bags of leaves he’s raked in the last week. LOL
I’ll be moving in tomorrow, LOL. Looks like they had tons of fun!
Oh my gosh, that totally brings me back–my sisters and I used to build nests with lots of rooms! And then we would hang out in them and read or eat our snacks or what have you. It’s so fun to be a kid!
I used to LOVE playing in leaves and helping my mom gather them
My boys love to play in the leaves, too bad our time to play was so short this year. It’s way to cold and trying to be snowy out to play now.
It’s so sad that all I think of when I see a pile of leaves now is allergies. lol. I long for my carefree days back. My kids are certainly going to miss all the leaves here.
How cute! I love the idea of a “nest” =)
What wonderful fun playing in all those leaves!
I love your pictures! I can’t wait until our leaves fall like that in Florida and my children can rake them up and jump in them. Such fun! Your pictures brought such joy to my heart! Thanks for sharing!
That is one big pile o leaves. Glad I didn’t have to rake them up. 🙂
YOU HAVE A BLUE MERLE COLLIE! I had a blue merle smooth. Blue merle = most beautiful
Love,
Lola
P.S. Not as beautiful as the princess, of course.
Oh what fun! And so creative! I would love to join them!
Hugs
SueAnn
I love kids, they have such good imagination! Yours looked like having great time. I must admit that I still love jumping in leaves :D. Is it immature?
Your photos brought back so many childhood memories! I’ve even had the opportunity to make a nice pile for my son to jump in too. This is SOOOO my favorite time of year!
It seems like we have the same leaf issues! I should have Leo roll around in ours to make it seem more like fun then work when I rake them all!
to much fun!!! Leaves make such great photographing moments!!
