Yogurt sure has come a long way from being blah and boring.  And some people (like my hubby) stay away from it simply because it’s produced by bacterial fermentation of milk.  Doesn’t sound very appetizing when you look at it that way, does it?  But what he doesn’t realize is that the ‘bacterial fermentation’ keeps the good bacteria, eliminating the bad.  Which means it’s good for you.  And your digestion.

Which is why Dannon’s Activia Selects are so awesome – not only do they have yummy flavors, but Activia, with Bifidus Regularis®, helps naturally regulate your digestive system as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

We can all use help with a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, no?  At least I can sure use all the help I can get.  I’m not very good at maintaining a balanced diet – healthy lifestyle, sure.  But balanced diet?  Not so much.  Especially when I tend to ‘forget’ to eat a regular meal…which means I’ll end up snacking randomly on not-so-good-for-me junk.  But I’m working on it.

So when I was asked to review the new Activia Selects, I was all over it – I’d tried some of their other flavors/types, but their newest products really caught my eye:

All of those look yummy, so I had to resort to eenie-meeney-miney-moe when deciding which one to utilize the coupon for a free one to try out.  I decided on the Parfait:

The Mixed Berry one, to be exact.  Not only did it hit the spot, but it was the perfect quickie breakfast – by the time lunch rolled around I wasn’t ravenous (and eating a much larger lunch than I should.  Since I typically don’t eat breakfast.  I’m forgetful like that.)

Nutritious and delicious definitely perfectly describe these yummy parfaits.  Next time I do my bi-monthly grocery shopping, I’ll be stocking up on these so I’ll always have a quickie (healthy) breakfast or snack on hand when I get forgetful about eating something in the morning.
