One week ago today, Princess Nagger ventured off to her first day of 3rd Grade.  Just to show perspective, here are comparisons from Kindergarten to now:

Kindergarten 2008
First Grade 2009
Second Grade 2010

And now:

Third Grade 2011

And waiting:

and waiting some more:
Finally, it’s time – holding Dada’s hand firmly to walk across the street:

She looks so tiny next to that ginormous bus, doesn’t she?  It’s amazing how fast time flies.  In two years we’ll be starting that whole cycle with the Little Dude.  I better not blink.

  1. Dear Princess Nagger (& Stacy!)

I remember 3rd grade well – it’s the year when school really starts to rock! You are going to have such a fabulous year! Tsunami & Legend send their love – they love reading your comments each week! 🙂

Your Friends @ Create With Joy 🙂

  2. She looks like she’s growing up from the first picture to the last. Can see some maturity in her. Kids grow up so fast. I miss mine already from spending time with them this summer. I really like her shirt that she wore for 3rd grade. Very cute.

  3. They do grow up so fast don’t they? I can’t believe my oldest is starting grade 9 next week….talk about time flying.

Princess Nagger is sure growing up to a gorgeous young lady.

  4. I understand about not blinking! We are starting to look into pre-K for Grant and its exciting and scarey all at the same time!

  5. So fun! I love the kindergarten picture too. 🙂 She looks sooo excited. I’ll bet that by this year she was totally excited to get back to school and see everyone.

  6. She does look tiny next to that big bus, but until you pointed that out all I could think is how much she’s grown!!

  7. Do all little girls have those skinny little legs and knobby knees! Both my girls looked the same way. They’re just too cute! Oh yes, don’t blink. Don’t even think about it. School starts then Halloween & Thanksgiving & before you know it it’s Christmas again! AUGHHHHH MY POCKETBOOK!!!! IT’S STARVING ALREADY! Have a great day!

  8. I find she looks tinnier in her G1 Photo vs her K photo but maybe it’s the sneakers? The boys here are still lazing at home. hehehe Tuesday/Wednesday they start.

  9. She looks so much older in her flats and her leopard shirt! Beautiful instead of cute. I hope she had a great day!

ps- how was little dude with big sister gone for the day?

  10. She does look tiny next to the bus, but I was just thinking to myself that she no longer looks little girlish!! Oh my goodness she has grown! I want to cry!

  11. It’s fun to look at those first day of school pictures over time, isn’t it? I like to really look at how much they change. But you’re right that she still looks small!

  12. Hummingbird is totally rocking that blouse!

My little man starts kindergarten next Tuesday. He’s made it perfectly clear that he’s not at all interested, except to go in and “borrow” the Hotwheels: Cave Race! book he saw during orientation. I actually had to go and find a used one (it’s not available new anywhere) online, hoping he doesn’t swipe the one at school!
