That was then….

Last year Princess Nagger had the honor to try Sugar Free Ring Pops and made a cute video depicting her love of them (if you missed it, you can see it here, or here).  She was excited when she was asked to remind everyone how great they are even a year later as we delve into the fun summer months.  I didn’t get a chance to post before we left on vacation what with the amazing unbloggable that’s been taking place – not to mention the hectic mode of actually getting ready and leaving for vacation, so we decided to make sure to make the 4th of July even extra special by doing a special filming whilst on vacation here in Iowa.

Of course in my scatterbrained hurry-up-and-pack and get-the-heck-out-of-dodge, I forgot to bring the Sugar Free Ring Pops with me.  ACK.  After scouring every store in the area of Cedar Rapids, I came up empty handed.  No Sugar Free Ring Pops to be found anywhere. Of course Princess Nagger’s ‘commercial’ wouldn’t be complete without the presence of Ring Pops, so we had to improvise with the sugary kind.  Double ACK.

So, as she says, pay no attention to the ring pops on her fingers – they’re there just for effect.   The giveaway is actually for the Sugar Free version – so fret not my health conscious friends, you’ll be getting the good stuff.  Meanwhile, see what Princess Nagger has to say about the Sugar Free Ring Pops one year-ish later:

Ring Pop is the ideal treat for today’s active kids. It’s a candy kids wear on their finger, so they never have to worry about dropping it. As a parent, you can now feel even better about giving Ring Pop to your kids. That’s because Sugar Free Ring Pop doesn’t promote tooth decay, has no fat, and has just 30 calories per great-tasting, long-lasting pop!

Each Sugar Free Ring Pop bag includes a selection of 3 great flavors: Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, and Strawberry. Enjoy the fun of Ring Pop without the sugar!

A big thank you to American Pop for providing me with product for review. The opinions are of my own personal experience (and mostly Princess Nagger’s) and not influenced by any outside source.  No monetary compensation was received (except I did have to bribe Princess Nagger with $5.06 from my wallet to do the final take of the video since she kept signing off with her real name and getting distracted by people and animals around), and the winning Sugar Free Ring Pop packages have been purchased by me to supply to the winner just because I love how much Princess Nagger loves them, and was disappointed to find out they’re not available everywhere…well, at least not where we’re vacationing in Iowa.     Disclosure policy here.

  1. I usually give my grandkids freeze pops. They love it, and they also like red licorice. Love the commercial PN. Please stay away from the sugar! You’re much too pretty to have a hyper attack! lol

  2. My daughter LOVES ring pops – the sugary kind. In fact this summer she gets one every day at the pool. Haven’t seen the sugar-free ones. Sugar-free would be great!

  3. I’m always looking for “sugar-free” stuff for my son because him and sugar are just not meant for each other. I always tell people he turns into the Blur!! 🙂

  4. I like to give my son popsicles as a special treat. I also try to buy seasonal small toys during the after holiday clearance sales as a treat for him!

  5. She was adorable then, and beautiful now. Now that it’s summer, the boys always want strawberries as a treat, but during the winter they were on a gum drop kick! I know, when was the last time you ate a gum drop?

  6. Hi PN!! Great job on the video and so nice of you to host such a great give away!!! I didn’t even know they had ‘sugar free’ ones. Good to know for my niece and nephew! Thanks sweetie & good luck!!

  7. We love microwave s’mores…unorthodox to some I am sure, but yummy just the same….not low sugar, but low fat (so I like to pretend that’s something!)

  8. I just had to leave a comment because I love her commercial! Totally cute!
“I have to eat some sugar just so I can keep hyper.”<—priceless!
    Peace…Naila Moon

  9. great video! i love when she says that she likes a little extra sugar sometimes so she can remain hyper! cracked me up.

My teens love ring pops, and I don’t get them very often, but it’s a good treat for them.

  10. Haha, she’s hilarious! She likes the extra sugar to “keep hyper”… I’m sure my kids are good without any extra hyper adding ingredients, thank you very much.

    Loved the commercial, PN!

  11. Very good commercial! And for the record, there are 70 calories in a regular ring pop. More than double the calories of the sugar free ones!
