The Incredible Shrinking Girl: Wordless/Wordful Wednesday

in Wordful Wednesday,Wordless Wednesday

A couple of weeks ago Princess Nagger came shopping with me and wants to get this chair because she thinks it’s so cool (sorry about the poor picture quality – I took it with my phone):

Pretty insane if you ask me!  She’s petite for her age to begin with – that coat is a size 7/8 so you’d think it should fit since she’s 8.  The overall effect makes her look like the Incredible Shrinking Girl.

OMG! That is a humongous chair!

2 Adrienne May March 16, 2011 at 1:28 am

my step daughter is 8 and my 3.5 year old son and her are too close in sizes. She is petite for her age too. She gets mad when we confuse clothes between the two of them, but it happens.

That cracked me up!!! She is the shrinking girl!!!!!
That chair is huge!!!!!!

So cute, reminds me of Alice in Wonderland too!

7 kyooty March 16, 2011 at 8:28 am

I want that chaire too!!! It would be just the right size for my winter snowfalls, but it’s a bit flimsy for my snow. :( She’s tall believe me! my (yrold can still wear some 7/8s but also some 10/12s if the make is small. :)

When she sat in it, did she say “And that’s the truth! Pththththth.”

(Kudos to people who get THAT reference. Yes, I’m ancient.)

9 kyooty March 16, 2011 at 8:28 am

And for the puzzle ( means 9yrold :p

I saw that chair at Sams and had to do a double take – its HUGE!

16 Stacey March 16, 2011 at 9:44 am

She looks teeny tiny in that chair! Too funny.

17 Elena March 16, 2011 at 10:41 am

OMG – that is hysterical! You should totally buy it. ;) My oldest is the same way – super tiny for his age. He’s 3 1/2 and still wears 2T jeans/pants/shirts. I swear my 15 month old will pass him up soon.

Too funny! She does look so small up against that huge chair. On a side note, who needs a chair that big?? LOL.

19 Galit Breen March 16, 2011 at 11:13 am

So sweet! She does look so itty bitty here!

20 Momma Jorje March 16, 2011 at 11:25 am

Visiting from Natural Parents Network!

I’ve known a few kids that were tiny. A couple of them are very active and successful in gymnastics. :-)

These photos are awesome! Was it an over-sized chair?

21 {undeserving grace} March 16, 2011 at 11:38 am

That is too funny. That looks like a crazy large chair…i’m use to my feet not touching the floor in most chairs I sit in :) i’m sure others love it when they come back to an adjusted chair for short legs! Now following from todays hop come by and say hello your welcome to join thankful Thursday blog hop tomorrow too at undeserving grace

22 Run DMT March 16, 2011 at 11:45 am

LOL That is hysterical! She does look like she’s shrinking. I want that chair too not only for its size but for all the cup holders. It could hold a whole 6-pack!

23 Mrsbear March 16, 2011 at 11:57 am

Ha! They have those at the BJs we shop at. I think we can fit at least three of the four kids in it at any one time. I like it, it makes me feel slim.

My 8 year old too is teeny-weeny. He just turned 8 and is still in a size 6 for pants. He’s like a tennis ball on a toothpick. :)

I have never seen a chair so big! Is it a picnic seat built for 20?

32 Maggie S. March 16, 2011 at 9:19 pm

What a cutie! Nice Chair. With the shopping cart for scale, I am a little scared of the guy the chair is made for.

33 Kristen March 16, 2011 at 9:38 pm

34 XmasDolly March 17, 2011 at 12:47 am

35 Lauren March 17, 2011 at 4:54 am

That is hilarious! I think I’d like the novelty of sitting in that chair and feeling a little smaller than usual … then again, I’m 7 months pregnant. Your daughter is so cute!

Okay, I’m getting that chair. Those are adorable!

40 Elaine March 17, 2011 at 2:05 pm

Um, who’s gonna sit in the chair?? the Green Giant? That thing is HUGE!

41 Classic NYer March 17, 2011 at 3:29 pm

Oh, thats just precious… I was a little tiny child too. It wasn’t until maybe four years ago that I finally bought myself a jacket that fit. Before that if I ever had a jacket that fit it would look too small to me, haha! I just got way too accustomed to the oversized jacket look.

That chair is GIANT. I wonder what person wouldn’t look “shrunken” next to it.

43 Kc March 18, 2011 at 9:49 pm

Love it! My boys are on the larger side so i guess we could find an opposite effect.
