Bless the Broken Road – MMMM

Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is one week from today?  Is it just me, or is time flying by faster and faster?  I haven’t even begun to think about how to make Valentine’s Day special for the hubby and Princess Nagger.  Good thing I well under pressure, I’ll probably come up with something last minute.

Meanwhile, I’m working on a project with TheMotherhood and Dr. Oetker Pizza Ristorante (a pizza brand that looks and sounds yummy) in a live text-based Talk on The Motherhood this Wednesday, February 9 at 1 p.m. ET.  I have the honor of being a VIP co-host during this talk which will include talking about the Dr. Oetker brand (which is an interesting story – trust me.)  Then we’re going to dive into the main part of the Talk, revolving around Valentine’s Day and how we spend quality time with people we care about (romantically and otherwise) to maintain good relationships.

Which means I better pick up the pace and figure out what I’m going to do to make Valentine’s Day special.  Or maybe I’ll get some great ideas during the talk.  Perfect timing.

If you want to join in, you can follow me on Twitter @RandomCoolChick, and follow along with the hashtag #DrOetkerRistorante.  Or you can join and enjoy the live talk on their site as well.   What’s in it for you?  Well, aside from  interacting with a fun group of people and getting some  great ideas on what to do for your loved one(s) on Valentine’s Day, you’ll also have a chance to win one of four prize packs that Dr. Oetker will be giving away during the Talk.  Each contain a cooler bag, pizza cutter, apron and Dr. Oetker coupons.  Sounds like a great prize pack for all us pizza lovers!   Hope to see you there!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day – this month is Love Song Month for Monday’s Moves Me.  At least I think the whole month is all Love Songs all the time – I could be wrong.  I had trouble choosing just one of my favorites, but I decided to go with one that gives me chills (the good kind) every time I hear it.   For this week’s listening pleasure, I bring you Rascal Flatts and Bless the Broken Road.  Enjoy!

Bless the Broken Road Lyrics
Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn’t see how every pointed straight to you

Every long dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I’d like to have the time I and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You’ve been there you understand
It’s all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Now I’m just rolling home
Into my lover’s arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

I have to say, God sure Blessed the Broken Road that let me straight to you, my most amazing readers.  Enjoy your Monday!  And don’t forget to harass me on Twitter on Wednesday!
